AFAIK my dealer told that it is not available yet. Yamaha has to take a decision whether to sell it as an accessory or not.

I'm still waiting for my Skid plate.

Congrats on the new bike and welcome to the ownership forum!. 2 questions:

        1. I could see some wrinkles in rider seat, have you installed any official seat cover?
        2. Can't see any number plate, Isn't your bike registered before handling to you?

        Cheers!

It was my fault. I forced them to finish it fast as I took a lot of time for PDI. I hope it is official seat cover. It does have Yamaha Insignia on it but you cant trust anything these days. They told me that they'll fix it when I go there for number plates and skid plate.

Dealer told me that they provide embossed IND number plates (probably fake IND plates) after I receive vehicle number from RTO.

Found this in few previous posts. Hope this help.

Brazil test bike appears to be equipped with ABS. Hopefully Yamaha India will also launch the ABS version.

Is that possible. I heard its not possible for existing bike to install. Might be they can use for new production

I don't understand yamaha! If they were successful in pricing the fz25 so good at 1.40L onroad then y not launch an abs version at an extra cost which will also be a well priced bike?

                      3) Can R15 do manageable hill climbs?
                      4) will I get to see R15 v3 launched in india before I'm 50 ?!?!
                      1) Well company claim 39kmpl but my FZ delivering 45kmpl both city and highway.
                      2) It is known for back & wrist pain. But I can't tell you weather you should go for it or not, that's totally your decision because people still drive it, some don't have pain. If you're really enthusiastic and have stamina then you can. It depends on how well & fit, height and weight of the person driving. So check if you're comfortable with it or not.
                      3) Well as long as bike is running, you can take anywhere. People did took R15 to lehdakh.
                      4) Don't know.

To me FZ is better because it does more speed at less rpm. FZ accelerate more faster and reach its top sooner than R15 because FZ makes its max power at 8000rpm while R15 at 8500rpm. Produce 15nm at 7500 while FZ25 20nm at 6000rpm. So it pulls faster and engine doesn't get stressed at high speed. I don't think it would be even fun driving R15 v3 because it produce max power at 10,000 rpm and has less torque than v2 that too at 8500rpm which is 1000rpm more than v2. It will take way longer to reach its max power and engine will be stressed at those high rpm's. And higher the rpm meaning more vibration and less durability.

Omg 45 that's more than enough for me [emoji3] ! How many kms have you finished on your bike so far ? After my test ride of Fz 25 I checked the avg mileage and it showed 24 and I was like "wth [emoji15] " pretty sure it showed that since it's a test model . Did u figure your mileage on the instrument cluster or had you test it using some methods ? . Thx for replying and enjoy your new bike !!

That avg meter actually takes time to show 40+. Never trust those test ride bikes which are poorly ridden. My avg meter shows 41-42 but gives 45. Have checked many times from reserve to reserve. Always does 450kms on 10L. Done 2200kms in a month.

Could someone provide some updates on the fuel injection system on FZ25? heard that its a cheaper FI system and needs periodic maintenance, which can only be done by Yamaha ASS folks.

Whats the cost involved in getting the FI maintained? i am about to jump the bandwagon of FZ25. just wanted to wait until the first batches are rolled out and all issues are fixed.

No point in buying a bike which needs ~1.5K FI cleaning charges, when efficient bikes which don't need such maintenance cost could be bought for few thousands more and offer better performance and egros (read pulsars). just waiting for inputs so, i could finalize my purchase. Thanks in advance.

                              ance.
                              Who told you these things?
No cheap FI unit is there in FZ25, get injectors cleaned every 15-20k kms and it hardly costs ₹400/- and yes it's done at yamaha svc.
