  • Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences

    Took delivery of my friends fz25 couple of days back, noticed the chain had excessive slack. On asking the ASS tech to get it adjusted, his reply was its perfect and it will sort itself as the bike is ridden etc now after riding bikes for so many years i know what excessive slack looks like, so i did not argue further. Also we did not get the user manual so if anyone who does please provide the chain slack adjustment figures, will do it myself.

    Also there is indeed rocker arm noise, will adjust those too as the bike needs to be at ambient temp to be adjusted, riding it to the ass will defeat the purpose. So anyone getting it done ensure that your bike is as near the ambient temp as it can be while adjusting.
    Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handlebars to the saddle.

      The service center at adoor is crap bro. My friend took delivery of his r15 v2 from george maijo kollam and the service they provide is excellent.

        Help me with this.
        I am maintaining speed and gear like below

        Only city driving not highway
        1-10 (kmph) => 1st gear
        10-20 => 2nd gear
        20-30 => 3rd gear
        30-40 => 4th gear
        above 40 => 5th

        is it correct ? Bike feels very heavy with above operating conditions.
        I am new to 5 gear box, used to 4 gear box.
        I am not able to ride smoothly. Any comment will be useful. (finished 380 km)

          You are lugging the engine, rev little more in each gear. Dont bother on speed just keep an eye on rpm. Just do not cross 5k rpm in any gear.

                who said this? both bikes to me are limited by wind blast and not engine for cruising. even duke 390.

                i am not a believer of cruising at 120 kmph. minor high speed bursts are ok. in our country even on smoothest of roads you can get potholes out of no where. or some animal or a person.

                90 kmph i think is good speed considering my riding gear, brakes on both bikes and windblast.

                  Yup.. I agree.. Considering our road conditions and braking capability even NH are not good for high speed cruising

                    I have completed three weeks and completed only 400 km. One more week to go, I might drive more 100 km so total will be around 500 km.
                    how much minimum km will be good before first servicing ( if required I can take few long drives ) ? ( not asking about maximum km )

                          They have not read the service manual themselves...Check your service manual. It is 1000Kms or 60 days

                              Can't believe. This is big problem when company produces good bikes with training of service guys but due to mechanic attitude and ego still they neglect SOPs of servicing and at the end owner is the sufferer.

                                FZ25 and R3 have same service intervals. I guess svc guys are following R15/FZ16 service intervals.
