Completed 200kms today (3rd day of purchase) and i think i will complete run in 6-7 days more. Not going over 5k rpm and giving 5 minutes rest to engine after 45 minutes of continous run.

Regarding comfort- today after 30kms/40 minutes of ride my right thumb along with right shoulder started pain little bit (I switched from karizma) but back and butt were comfortable. I feel throttle grip is little bigger in girth compared to zma due to which pain started from thumb and going to shoulder.
i think you will miss comfort of zma if thats most important aspect to you. i took another test ride and was surprised how sporty it felt this time.

i generally take multiple test rides to form good impressions. sitting on duke 250 after this felt more comfortable. handling on this bike is really good.

i think reviewers missed the mark big time on this bike, not only in terms of engine performance but handling as well.

priming bike for corner feels as easy and eager as r15. though you really have to dial in throttle carefully cause front end feedback not as good and you rely mostly on rear for traction feel.

overall for street use, handling is very impressive. bike has little hard seats and front end too is somewhat loaded. not as much as r15 though.

        .
That comfort compromise of zma was expected. Only difference of low handle bar I am feeling in riding posture. I know my skeleton will be used to new riding position later. Its a matter of time.

Headlight throw is almost useless and dangerous, also HL assembly vibrates and flicker on uneven road . I am feeling that in past 3 days HL beam automatically got lowered more compared to first day of purchase. There is something wrong with HL assembly, I am sure have have to look for some alternative in future specially for highway rides.

If i ride for 30min and then let the engine idle for some time then definitely a different metallic sound is comming in rhythm of engine sound.
Tick tick at particular RPM or even after when the engine is shut down means we have a loose tappet adjustment. Usually old school single cylinder engines after heated up to an extent do produce slight tappet noise which are normal. But if you observe the same sound even after a prolonged stop or the next day, then it's time to get your tappet clearances checked. Since it's a new motorcycle, you can get it checked at your upcoming free/paid services.

Can any FZ25 owners from Hyderabad respond?

I just want to know how long did it take for you from booking the bike to the delivery. I am planning for Warrior White. Thought of purchasing from Rise Yamaha Madinaguda.
If you can share the PDI check list, that'd be a great help too.

          Your inputs will be appreciated.

Check the PDI inspection thread. You have basic info as to what to check and what not. Also if possible, write down the things you want to in a cheat sheet and cross check with the bike when you take delivery. This will help you keep track of what you are require to inspect and not forget anything important.

          Cheers!

            Hello guys,

Took delivery of my FZ yesterday. I initially booked the bike in black, but fell in love with the white colour when I saw it in person. 103kms done so far. I've been keeping the revs below 4k and have been trying to not run at the same RPM for a long time. I've the same observations as others on this forum.

            - The gearbox is very clunky and I have a tough time shifting, although this disappears above 3rd gear.
            - I've got an indicated average mileage of 34 kmpl till now. I've ridden almost completely in the city, so hoping for the figure to improve as I hit the highway.
            - I've noticed that the bike cranks once or twice before starting. There is a slight hesitation. Is this common?
            - The headlight vibrates on uneven roads and I am not happy with the quality of the plastics on the taillight assembly.

All these aside, the bike leaves you breathless with oodles of torque and I'm left smiling everytime I drop a gear and overtake.

This is common, new bikes tend to have hard gear shifting FZ25 has a little more of it. I had the same in my test ride as well.

              Milage looks impressive..

No. I own FZS for about 8 years now. Not even a single day my auto start hesitated. Coming from same linage, i am expecting the same performance and bike does lived upto it. In my test ride, the bike started instantly.

If the issue continues check with SVC.

              - The headlight vibrates on uneven roads and I am not happy with the quality of the plastics on the taillight assembly.

This is a shame for such a lovely bike. Any chance to fix this up???

If my memory serves me right, fusioncoast has posted his disappointment with the headlamp assembly vibrating post certain RPM or constantly. So, it seems the headlamp unit vibrating is a weak link.

Yes HL is a weak link. Will have to do some serious jugad to lift the beam plus to reduce flickering and vibrations.

Also the oil cooler pipe need to be protected, if any stone hits this pipe at high speed or during lil bit off roading then there is high chance of damaging these delicate pipes.

Did anyone got Rim stickering done for a blue bike. If so please post the pics. I want to get the stickering done but confused with color as we will not get the cyan blue in stickering.

Trip to Nandi Hills. Handling is very good in ghat road. I am very happy with the handling in the curves. Enjoyed riding the bike. Completed 850km till now. Till 500km i was maintaining speeds below 4k rpm. Now in today's ride I increased it to 5k rpm. As the higher rpm we go the bike feels smoother in lower rpm's . Also, when I am at 5k RPM, the mirrors started vibrating and I could not see the images in the mirrors properly. Need to check this. Here are some pics of bike

Good to see you got your bike. I am also able to listen some tik - tik sound from engine when it is at idle and while the bike is on run. No sound when the bike is off after a ride. I was thinking of getting it checked by svc but I will wait for some kms to pile on.
Also, I heard some chi-chi sound from brakes when I was slowing down bike from around 40-45 kmph. I was using both the brakes. What could be the possible problem? I hear the sound on 4-5 occasions.

Brake pad chi chi sound is normal for new bike. It will go away when pads will be used more and more.

Reason is sometimes due to dust deposition between pad and disk.
