Headlight intensity is good but problem is with beam throw. If whole HL assembly can be lifted little bit by any means then it will be good. Because in LED setup very little beam adjustment can be achieved just by adjusting screw position. Key is lifting HL assembly little bit.

Quality of plastic is good. Keep in mind that plastic which is more flexible is of good quality compared to brittle one which tends to crack easily. For example karizma r plastics are very hard and used to crack easily.Originally posted by AmitJ21 View Posti am planning to buy fz25 in coming month but worried about the headlights and the quality of plastic..

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Just now mailed, below are the details mentioned in the mailOriginally posted by AJAY SREEKUMAR K View PostI have sent a mail to yamaha care about the headlamps and I wish every owner does it. Because they called me and told that there is no issue of headlight beam/vibration reported till now by any owners.
I have bought FZ25 (most of the details can be pulled from the customer id), I have been using the bike for almost 2 weeks now with 400+ KM during my use I am facing few issues
Headlight light is useless and shakes whenever riding on bad roads
If i am riding the bike in 40+kmph during night its very difficult to identify potholes (as the range of the headlight is really poor specially with low beam) and its dangerous to ride the bike at higher speed and turning on the high been just adds a burger kind of bump over the existing low light.*
Let me provide some ref links as its a common issue reported by all customers*
Regarding the shaking headlight, on inspection i found that headlight assembly is just plugged in with 2 rubber top and instead to the bike fork assembly and its not fitted with nuts so it will keep shaking and it will increase more as the time progress.*
Looks like the headlights are badly designed and its been irritating to use the bike at nightEnzoi the RidE....

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
As somebody who have booked the bike & Just waiting for loan et all to clear, Point no 4 is a cause of concern. we cannot upgrade as well since that will void warranty. Have tweeted to yamaha. Would suggest we take it on all platforms. Not correct but that;s how things work here in indiaOriginally posted by ankit.traveller View PostToday had 1 hr/ 55 km ride in evening on straight roads with varying speed and changing gears. Max speed i shot at 80kmph for a second. Odo is 375 kms. Few obsevations-
1. After 40 minutes of ride i felt engine heat and stress so I stopped for 5 minutes to cool down after that again engine felt peppy.
2. There is little vibration creeping on footrest and rear beake padel @ 59-65 kmph.
3. Tappet kit kit sound is there in whole rpm band on accelerating as well as slowing down. There is strange rattling from engine exactly at 4200 rpm.
4. Headlight beam is like chinese led torch, absolutely useless. I will write to yamaha to do something about HL as it is too dangerous to ride above 50kmph in night. HL is really a flaw and users have to pressurise yamaha to change faulty design because it is the matter of safety.
5. My body started to adapt riding position so no discomfort today after riding 50kms.
6. Handling is spot on, i can change directions frequently with lot of confidence.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
I too sent email to yamaha regarding HL-
Dear Concern,
I purchased fz25 on 28th April 2017 from Lucknow Automotives, Lucknow, my customer id - xxxxxx Since 28th evening (delivery time 7pm) I have ridden 250kms mostly after sunset.
I feel both low and high HL beam throw is useless as I can only see few feet of "road" be it low or high beam. Even high beam is just a little bit very minute extension of low beam. Apart from few feet of road I can not see any other objects which resulted in life threatning situations in last 3 days of riding. It is veey dangerous to ride this bike in night more than 30kmph.There is no procedure of HL beam adjustment in owner's manual too.
Even I felt that yesterday night HL assembly automatically came to more lower position compared to purchase date position as beam position gone down further more. High beam is a joke in this motorcycle, it just extend few inches further from low beam position. There is something wrong with whole HL assembly
I request Yamaha to provide a permanent solution to fix this life threatning issue of Head Light beam throw in fz25.
Looking forward for reply.Last edited by ankit.traveller; 05-02-2017, 04:58 PM.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
By full tank calculation i got 37kmpl..sensor showing 34kmpl..may be a sensor issue..but 52 kmpl is absurdOriginally posted by IamAditya View PostSomeone here in kochi got 52 kmpl.

Are these figures possible or any issue with mileage sensors?

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Just finish with 1350kms of Bangalore -idukki - munnar - Bangalore ride.
Loving every bit of this machine. Odo reads 3400 kms now.
Fuel efficiency was 37kmpl
Average speed 75 kmph
Loved the twisties of idduki. One of the best in India to test your bikes and your leaning angles. And the bike performed with ease on wet and on dry termac it was no less than 390 duke. I could literally knee down with a pillon. And there was enough confidence inspiring torque to let me jumb into next curve.
400 kms of return ride was done at night and there was little complaint of headlight. I could cruise at 80-85 kmph ( I have adjusted the beam throw as per my and pillion weight on bike). My headlight vibration has reduced considerably somehow. But don't know how.
But ohh god! Only if I have a windscreen for my bike. I couldn't find anywhere in Bangalore.

Guys this is not the mistake of sensors.Originally posted by IamAditya View PostSomeone here in kochi got 52 kmpl.

Let me explain you .
I took my bike for hill while returning back I just turned on the ignition (I didn't start) it was slope and it spinned at least 10 kilometers like that.
Then my average fuel efficiency was 45kmpl.
So this is not the mistake of the sensor
According to me sensor are 90% accurate

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
My understanding is that one should not drive downhill with engine dis engaged. Keep the engine running and on proper gear, need not throttle. This will help you with breaking.Originally posted by Rajathrajk View PostGuys this is not the mistake of sensors.

guys keep posting your impressions and trips like these.
i thought all these fe readings and top speed readings and what not on instrument consoles were a joke and a waste of companies effort and my money. why would anyone read average speed, fe, top speed etc calculated by console is beyond me.Originally posted by Rajathrajk View PostGuys this is not the mistake of sensors.
