Brother isn't leg guard kissing fairing? In case of fall it will damage it. Did showroom provided this guard, recommended by yamaha?

Always remember that you are in badlands of ulta pradesh where things never work straightway even when you are paying them lol .

I am glad, you are getting what you deserve.

Agree . This one looks like locally fabricated at some road side shop. The one which comes for fz15 is far better and sturdy looking than this iteration.

                      1. Handling is quite comfortable, so is the rider comfort. Wife wasn't happy on pillion though - way too tall without back support and she was worried that she might fall off. I fail to understand new design of seats on most of these bikes - never heard any pillion rider liking it - way too high in the air with higher CG, no wonder pillion doesn't feel safe!
                      2. Bike feels light, absolutely light and comfortable - almost like my current Unicorn.
                      3. Gears are NOT smooth - shifting is little tricky.
                      4. Not as fast as some video compared for 0-60 or 0-100, but it is quite competent.
                      5. I drove in twilight, and the headlight beam was barely visible on road in that light and spread wasn't impressive either. Though I could see lights from other vehicles comparatively brighter in the same light. Headlight is not as good as one would expect. Becomes a major concern if you're considering touring on this bike.
                      6. The bike does not really feel premium if you compare it with Dominar or even RTR 200 - even FZ-S saree guard on the rear wheel is better than FZ-25. Console is impressive, but poorly designed and illuminated. Dominar/RTR 200 make it look much better.

I fail to understand why Yamaha has decided to put this at the bottom of 250 cc bikes and did not add better frame, ABS, slipper clutch and that 6th gear. They have priced it low and bike seems to be a good package for its price. Given Yamaha's reputation & reliability, it could attract some people looking for options beyond 150 cc bikes.

For me it is likeable, but lacks that WOW factor. I believe Yamaha has missed an opportunity to create a truly desirable, premium bike with better specifications (better frame, ABS, slipper clutch and that 6th gear - few more bells and whistles like side-stand warning, service reminder etc.) that could have been launched around 1.5 L to 1.6 L ex-showroom. That would have caused some serious competition for CBR 250.

As of now, it only seems to compete with RTR 200 or NS 200. I have already seem people preferring Dominar instead of this one here on xBHP itself in the last 1 week.
It is Yamaha's version of morden day 200 so they kept the things simpler. They have given this bike the 50cc advantage over the rest of 200cc pack and it would help in longer ride.
I had a test ride few days back, refinement is better than my D400 but it lacks in top end the buzz started around 95kmph and can be felt at pegs and bar.
Suspension could be better as it is bang similar to fz15 the dealer confirmed it but it is good enough. Also i found the brakes lacking bite.
On lights front nothing is close to d400 but compare it to other bikes i found only p220 and rs 200 are better , rest all are behind fz250.
The indicators should be led and not the standard bulky ones ,looks out of place on a handsome bike like this.
                      Pillion comfort is lacking.
Overall a very good bike and would sell. Just think of it as a more refined 200 rather than 250, my personal opinion.

ppl are finding it hard to get over spec sheet it seems. acceleration on bike is like cbr250r when riding it. you can easily get in trouble on it if you are not careful.
vbox tested video shows it to be faster than duke 250. why would one treat it like a 200 instead of 250?

Registrations are getting delayed because of BS V4 implementation. Seems they need to follow different process for BS v4 vehicles registration

I own a rs200 and was thinking of FZ25 because of Pillion comfort every one was saying.

FZ 25 will definitely perform better in city.

Will it be a better option than RS200?

The things i like on RS200 are exceptional straight line stability at any speed,
                            No issue under crosswinds,
                            Lesser wind blasts,
Braking and ABS although single channel does help.
No vibes above 7k rpm, which is the sweet spot.

Will FZ25 be a better option?

                            Thank you.

Because everybody wants to believe they made the right choice. Rtr200 guys believe the rtr handles best in the ₹2 lakh category, Dominar guys believe the Dominar is more comfy, stable on highways, and CBR 250 owners ***** about lack of liquid cooling.

Basically, it's hard to get unbiased, unprejudiced facts.

I say stick with your rs200 it is as refined as fz25 and has better wind protection . You would not feel much with the change . I also find breaks on RS better and also it has abs.
Logical upgrade from u would be something else not this.
If you are still interested , have a good td 2,3 times if possible to assess what you would be getting from the package. And you would i stress would miss the sixth cog.
It is a very good bike though.
