Fz15 has amazing brakes..Originally posted by Anunay View PostBrakes are ok. Still it's in early stage. Can't say much but also not equal to that of r15. The front one has a feel of duke390 brakes. Not sharp bite but catchy.
That kind of braking power is enough.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Guys, planning to get this machine for myself, right now riding zma-r. I am not a speed freak or peg scrapper but a hard core tourer. Even on expressways i dont go above 100kmph. As a tourer my basic requirements are-
1. Riding Comfort
2. Silent engine
3. Reliability of engine
4. Good tank range
5. Lighter clutch
6. DIY friendly bike
7. Good headlights
Last 3 year my zma served me brilliantly including ladakh ride but it is not the bike for high altitude riding (which is my main interest in touring) due to its carb main jet issue also severe vibrations issue not resolving. Please suggest if it will be better "substitute" I know its not an "upgrade" .

As an upgrade i would suggest you to get Dominar.Originally posted by ankit.traveller View PostGuys, planning to get this machine for myself, right now riding zma-r. I think this guy is a Jap fan. See the silent engine requirements. And reliable engine. [emoji23]Originally posted by IamAditya View PostAs an upgrade i would suggest you to get Dominar.
Right now, FZ has a tested engine, Dominar still hasn't proven itself.

Lol...silent engine means light exhaust note. I cant bear sporty growl continously during long rides.Originally posted by leech View PostI think this guy is a Jap fan. See the silent engine requirements. And reliable engine. [emoji23]

Dominar is not at all DIY friendly also electrically very advanced due to abs etc, heard that tank need to be removed completely to get access to air filter. You can call me old school type.

I did not feel comfort in dominar during test ride.Originally posted by IamAditya View PostAs an upgrade i would suggest you to get Dominar.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
people are interested in fz. though not many are discussing here on forum. hopefully with time, initial owners will furnish all info like maintenance costs, fe etc.Originally posted by Naveen1985 View PostI feel very few people are interested in fz25. Dont get me wrong but acc to me this thread is not that much active. I mean I was expecting a lot more interest and excitement which is missing. Don't if its just me or you guys are also feeling the same. I feel people are more interested in p200 ns and rtr 200 than fz25.
mod edit few pages back did killed excitement on this thread. never been to any forum where mods delete lot of relevant information in name of off topic. some course correction is required to keep on topic like a warning or some post edits. but in this case discussion was deleted wholesale.
have no inclination to give impressions of how i felt bike performed after that especially in comparison to competition. some comparisons are important to be made eg: it feels as powerful as cbr250r. gives you context.

Tested where?
And Dominar has a tested engine, Bajaj has launched the bike after testing it on all possible places, where there is a chance for riders to take it.
Saying this after seeing the spyshots before launch, and they launched the bike after covering over a lakh of kilometers and even testing the altitude.
Cheers!

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
this bike will be suitable. not saying other bikes won't. but fz25 is hard to fault. it even has main stand so you can do necessary basic maintenance on long rides.Originally posted by ankit.traveller View PostGuys, planning to get this machine for myself, right now riding zma-r.
