Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
I think it cannot be considered as an upgrade for u. it is an perfect upgrade from 150 cc and who prefers naked bike,as I upgraded from p150 it was so perfect without compromising in mileage and performance.Originally posted by IamAditya View Post

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
I cannot fathom why would a i person compare a faired bike with a street fighter . If you preference is pilion seat, by all means FZ has got a comfortable pilion seat. I could easily make my normal build 27 years cousin & 9 years old son comfortably in back and still maintain my riding posture . It is wide and not sitting like middle of no where in true Ninja style . For me having a comfortable space to move myself on seat without disturbing in back is comfort .Originally posted by IamAditya View PostI own a rs200 and was thinking of FZ25 because of Pillion comfort every one was saying.
Again. you need to define what is definition of " Comfort" for you.
Aptly put. To each one his ownOriginally posted by leech View PostBecause everybody wants to believe they made the right choice. Rtr200 guys believe the rtr handles best in the ₹2 lakh category, Dominar guys believe the Dominar is more comfy, stable on highways, and CBR 250 owners ***** about lack of liquid cooling.
Basically, it's hard to get unbiased, prejudiced facts.Last edited by .sushilkumar; 03-17-2017, 03:33 PM.

Exactly, that's why I said -Originally posted by Ijs View PostOverall a very good bike and would sell. Just think of it as a more refined 200 rather than 250, my personal opinion.
As of now, it only seems to compete with RTR 200 or NS 200.

however each bike has its plus and minus no point in comparing.
overall i would say each manufacturer has priced bikes in correct way (there are some exceptions but not many). both exception value bikes launched recently fz and dominar lack that extra bit of quality and refinement that something like r15 or mojo or cbr have.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
or is it?Originally posted by IamAditya View PostBut on other side, Dominar is refined than a ktm 390 which costs more for the obvious reasons
by refinement i mean no harshness in gear shifts, no grating of parts etc. basically better precision in parts manufacturing.

Oh! Its Bajaj so it will have harshness right?Originally posted by VaibhavPisal View Postor is it?

I thought only Bajaj bikes will be rough, then saw Hornet guys complaining about extreme rough and harshness.
I thought only on rs200, people complain about fairing rattle, then saw many complaining the same on Ktm RC threads.
KTMs usually have quite smooth gear shifts except in finding neutrals some times.
Even the FZ25 has hard shifts, gixxer owners have said the same.
As per there reviews I read and watched, Dominar has better refinement than 390s, less vibes
Felt the same personally.
Cheers.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
I would the FZ25 would be a good deal for you given the quality you are getting over Bajaj. Yamaha has made this modern day 250cc commuter. The mileage and refinement with pillion comfort you are getting is just too good. Also let's not forget torque you get in real time. And Yamaha has not added ABS and modern day features because they are really needed for such a everyday bike. You won't be riding this bike aggressively but in a relaxed manner and if you want some fun, there some power too. If you get a good deal for your rs200 then FZ25 would be a ideal choice.Originally posted by IamAditya View PostI own a rs200 and was thinking of FZ25 because of Pillion comfort every one was saying.
FZ 25 will definitely perform better in city.
Will it be a better option than RS200?
The things i like on RS200 are exceptional straight line stability at any speed,
No issue under crosswinds,
Lesser wind blasts,
Braking and ABS although single channel does help.
No vibes above 7k rpm, which is the sweet spot.
Will FZ25 be a better option?

Originally posted by Anunay View PostHello guys, I am planning to get FZ25 after exchanging my R15s, Because of poor torque in city as well as hill rides. Off late i have developed pain in my neck because of riding in city with poor torque and riding position. I was having FZ16 till 2015 and it was very torquey machine and was fantastic in hills and city. I took test ride of fz25, it felt amply powered and had a revvy engine just like r15. But with superior torque. I intentionally took a pillion and then took a test ride to check the power. The torque delivery was equal to dominar, which I also tested. But I forgot to check the service interval. Is it every 5000 km, Which also include oil change?
after 25k kilometers service intervals are for every 5000 kms with oil change

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Thanks for the info. This means the 5th gear of the FZ25 is actually taller than the 6th gear of the Honda CBR 250R (0.963) but not as tall as the 6th gear of the Yamaha R15 (0.84).Originally posted by Syed Rizwan Biyabani View Post1st

refinement i am talking about, i dont think you are getting it. i have nothing against bajaj. dominar and fz are my 2 current short listed bikes for purchase.Originally posted by IamAditya View PostOh! Its Bajaj so it will have harshness right?

its hard to describe. become obvious when i test rode cbr and pulsar 200as back to back which one is more premium bike. i get that feeling from ktm bikes that they are expensive. even if their gearbox are notchy. there is some smoothness in everything it does.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
So here comes my warrior(white). Its a fantastic handler in city that too with pillon. And the grips offered by tyres are exceptional. The whole chassis blends with the tyre and makes a good package. Coming from R15.
What I really liked :
1. The torque, its all over, every gear every where till (tested upto 7000 rpm)
2. Seating position. Comfy both for pillion and rider.
3. Stance & Handling
4. Fuel tank, 14 litre Its awesome for touring.
5. Lightweight body.
6. Exhaust note, super refined, I bet you can't find a better refined bike in 200-250cc other than CBR.
Whats not so good:
1. Instrument panel, its just basic other than real time mileage indicator and clock.
2. Wiring and switch gears are of some low quality ( not felt like that of typical yamaha thing)
3. The pillion seat height, my wife struggles to climb.
4. The hedlamp is just OK. It holds on coming beams. But not good for driving more than 70 kmph at night. Width of beam is also less.
5. Abs missing ( why yamaha why!)
Will post the detailed review soon.

may i ask how many kms you completed on r15 before making the switch.
about swgr i agree its not as high quality as r15 or even fz 16.
for instrument cluster, i personally prefer simpler things rather that gizmo laden bike that does stuff i dont need. i quiet like r15 swgr, only thing i miss is clock which this one has. i think its perfect.

I did 21000 km on my R15s. Before selling it because of low practicality in traffic and every day riding condition in Bangalore.Originally posted by VaibhavPisal View Postcongrats.
