Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
congrats bro , you would be first in vasai i guessOriginally posted by Samir A. Ahluwalia View PostHi!
I book the bike on the 4th and got delivery on 9th mine was one of the very first bikes to be delivered in Vasai, as usual i went for the white color the white is not pure white but pearl white which corolla was famous for on their corollas the flip side of pearl white is the color cannot be reproduced any any paint shop with the same finish
But the bike looks great yes the gears are hard rock hard i cannot find the neutral till date unless i switch off the bike and manually move the bike and find neutral but i have seen in reviews its improves with use once the gb settles down
What i do not like are the tyres they are MRF would upgrade the same as do not trust anything from MRF
i have not stretched the bike beyond 50 - 60 as want to run in the engine first can anyone help me with the run in period as my bike is not registered and hence yet to the owner mannual also what is recommended speed during that period
Also can anyone suggest tyres for upgrading them
I just got a garage cover from the dealer not interested in the helmet because it is 200 - 300 rs stuff which is useless
I am waiting for the new series to start as looking for 7 number post which i can register the bike
My initial experience are good i like the bike its peppy and builds speed faster then we think because it does without any bang bang
My only worry is the service this being serviced at normal workshop the engineers servicing them are not that great at times i had bad experience with Honda in past
The service intervals are good even benelli had a shorter service period which was a pain
----consecutive posts auto-merged-----
Dominor has six or seven LED bulb setup and FZ25 has a three bulb setup and hence there will be huge difference in the spread of light
But LED has shelf life they get duller with use and how fast that happens depends on the quality of LED and i think here is where we would find that FZ25 steels the show because the issue with Bajaj is quality of components

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
As a matter of fact, white is the best color as it reminds of one of the BWM naked street bikes and it looks like a very well built bike. I will prefer black though because, on the long run, white will lose its charm as the dirt, spots and scratches will be show itself very clearly and it'll require frequent washes to maintain a clean look. I have a white Activa and I don't wash it much these days as it'll highlight the scratches and spots after a wash.Originally posted by Anunay View Post

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
breaks are progressive and give good feedback.Originally posted by IamAditya View PostGuys.. How is the braking performance?
considering its not a sports bike, breaking force not super sharp initially like r15 or pulsar 200ns. once lever pulled in very easy to modulate. abs would be better but not compulsory cause breaks easy to modulate and power and weight manageable too.

I thought I am the only one who feels this nose diving type of thing while riding pulsars. Thank God I am not alone 😊Originally posted by IamAditya View PostThe thing is FZ doesn't have nose dive like 200ns, it makes the front end little unsettle on NS, but again the excellent stable chassy helps.sigpic

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
I own a RS200 , same suspension setup as 200ns, bajaj hasn't done anything to the suspension to compensate the extra weight, it dives too.Originally posted by Naveen1985 View PostI thought I am the only one who feels this nose diving type of thing while riding pulsars. Thank God I am not alone 😊
I have abs rs, i just pull the front brake lever completely having ABS to save on lock ups, with this dive the bike loads the front tyre more and speeds shed realy quick.
I love the braking alot on RS200 but this nose dives spoils the corner entry, you cannot brake just before the corner and lean over because this nosedive unsettles.
The rebound is too slow on pulsars that is the problem.
But there are solution for it.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Nose diving also helps to absorb the inertia during braking. But again too much nose diving will damp the braking feedback.Originally posted by IamAditya View PostThe thing is FZ doesn't have nose dive like 200ns, it makes the front end little unsettle on NS, but again the excellent stable chassy helps.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Owners who r using for a week or more, can u advise if the gear shift is getting normal? When i test drove i felt it hard.. Mechanic over there told its common in new bike, will adjust clutch while delivery..
Also brake i feel was not that much sharp in that bike..
Apart from the two i felt very comfortable in that bike, pick up, taking u turns etc..

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
The clutch needs to be adjusted for the gearbox to function well. I have been riding for 300 kms now and the gearbox is becoming smooth. Brakes are adequate. If it is too sharp, one might skid under sudden braking but as you press on the lever it gets the job done well. Kind of progressive.
