And it's on Yamaha Website also, you can check.

In fact, I gave my bike within 1st month, because they gave me wrong details and old service book. And in return they just said "Sorry Sir, but your bike 1st service has done now, next time follow that new one schedule".

Click on the below link, you will get that.

Today I faced a very strange issue. My disc rotor was worn off .When I checked the pads had completely lost the friction material. Now my odo reading is only 4400km.Isn't it too early for this to happen.I have never experienced disc pads getting worn off @4000kms.To make matter worse, the pads costed me a whooping 960₹.When I enquired about the disc rotor the svc guy told me that it's of around 900rs.When I told the svc guys about this they said that I am riding my bike with brake pedal pressed always. What were they thinking I don't know.As if some special skill is required to brake in fz25.Totally fed up with the quality of yamaha and their service centre

I'm planning to buy bike within this month and I'm very much confused between two FZ25 and Hornet 160

I will use this bike mainly for daily office (30km )and sometimes long drive.

I like every aspects of this bike except headlights illumination..

As i return from office mostly at night time so headlight should b good to drive at night.

So can you guyz tell me about performance of fz25 headlight compared to other bikes like Hornet 160, gixxer
Its really not a great idea to compare 250 cc to that of 150 cc. Personally, FZ25 has decent milage in city condition and performance is also on par, hence i would go for it. With reagrds to head light, its not great but better than any 150cc head light. As all the 150cc series uses halogen lamps mostily between 35 to 40w range. FZ being 35W LED it is little better than halogen ones.

I would suggest you to take test ride and finalize the one you like....

I think the brake pads had some contact with the rotor and the service center guys will not even bother to check it in the first service. Yamaha definitely need to check their service center quality.
Dont change the rotor just change pads alone.

            Hi,
I have been testing the FZ25 for a week now. It's a wonderful bike. Mileage and power, the combination is terrific. If you got a steady hand, you'll get above 50kmpl (as per on board computer) which seems to be true. Worst to worst it gets me 35kmpl which is way more than enough for a 250cc motorcycle.

Coming to the weaknesses of the motorcycle, the headlights being the first. It's just pathetic, worse than scooter. The spread, throw and intensity is just not there.
The headlight shakes, confirmed it with other users here as well.

But trust me you cannot just let this motorcycle let go for these weaknesses alone. You may also consider the RTR200, it is on par with this on everything as well.

And the Hornet, gixxer etc aren't comparable to this Motorcycle neither the RTR200. They are much less powerful and come only close in pricing.

What do you mean by 80% of its max ? Can we adjust the power of headlights !?

Its not the power adjustment , you can control how far you like the throw.

Not power of bulb. But angle of throw.
Only way to adjust power of headlight is by replacing bulb to higher watt one or to redesigning headlight

Hey man i own hornet... It's not good to compare 160 with 250... But if u can, go ahead and buy fz25... Both Are gem of a machine...
Hornet got best in segment brakes , mileage, looks... Headlight of hornet sucks... Got it changed to led... During break in period when i ride very sedately got average of 56.... Normally i get between 45 and 50 as i drive fast and hard...
But fz25 is i believe the most value for money in 250cc segment... Low service cost easy... availability of parts.... Also i have ridden it and engine is quite punchy and torquey for daily use... Also pillion comfort is way better than rivals...
As thread members can here easily testify that it is a gentleman machine...
My advice would be if u can then surely buy fz25 as it's indeed a wonderful machine...
