Any sauce on this? This is seriously a screwed up situation if this is being done intentionally.Originally posted by ankit.traveller View PostCheck your fuel..may be water mixed petrol. These days many fuel pump are doing this.

Some do intentionally some unintentionally. Actually problem is they dont maintain their fuel reservoir tank and rain water or impurities slowly seeps inside tank making bad quality fuel. Bad quality fuel is the basic reason of engine or fueling problems in most vehicles.Originally posted by soumya_digi View PostAny sauce on this? Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Hello Folks,
I have recently completed a short trip of 430kms. My observations during this period:
1. Idling was set to 1000 by my mech. It was the worst thing he could do, faced lot of problems in ghats riding with pillion.
2. Before the trip I changed my Engine Oil to Motul 10w40 7100. The ride was smooth. The engine never felt hot, but it felt stressed in ghats may be because of idling.
3. I was doing a continuous 90-95 , the bike didn't show any sign of trouble.
4. Rain was pouring heavily for a long stretch of around 110kms. Again I was doing contentiously 80-90, the bike felt stable with pillion on board was doing it comfortably.
5. Fe;t vibes post 70kmph. My hands are yet to recover from that.
After coming back form the trip the first thing I did is changing my seat. I had a nightmare travelling with the stock seat. Added extra foam for padding and extended seat by 2 inches approx. Though Motul 7100 served me good I want to do a ride with Yamalube. Then only I will be in a better position to draw a conclusion on how good Motul is as compared to the stock engine oil.

Idling should be 1200-1400 in hot engine, 1000 is too low.Originally posted by maadyy View PostHello Folks,

Stick to stock oil or normal ss oil before 10k kms odo for this engine long life.

Motul 7100 10w40 is a very reliable engine oil and if you check my last post. You can see the condition of stock engine oil after using it for 1300kms. That also the use was for local rides only. So I decided to go for a change. Now regarding idling the stock idling was 1400. I took the bike to SC for tappet adjustment and complained of vibrations post 70kmph. So he might have thought that reducing the idling will reduce the vibes however it is not so. The another reason I have changed the engine oil is because I was not sure if they have changed the engine oil at all during my first service at 750kms. Since I was suppose to change the oil post my office hours decided to go for Motul. Now during second service I will move to Stock engine oil.b SANE to b insane!

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
FS oil having ester tech can damage internal oil seals and clutch plates in new engine and slowly engine will start consuming more oil later. There is more chance of damage in fz25 new engine as it is producing more heat compared to others in B2B traffic conditions. You may feel smoothness with high quality FS oil but practically it has more harmful effects than benefits in new fz25 engine.Originally posted by maadyy View PostMotul 7100 10w40 is a very reliable engine oil and if you check my last post. Change of engine oil color means oil doing its duty.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Ok I've done 1500kms till now and while servicing at 998 kms the service station filled mineral oil from yamalube and he had no options of semi synthetic one. Gear box is noisy . Had a instance when bike came to neutral from 4 th gear once. And the moron there told me to come back after 5000 kms for next oil change....can yamalube mineral oil last so long???me says mineral oil good for 1500 kms..... What are the other options? Semi synthetic??fully synthetic?? Does motul really eat up the oil seals?? My primary concern is gearbox smoothness rather than performance gain. And yes my dealer is good with warranties if I stick with 10w40 whatever be the brand.

Go with Fully Synthetic for smooth gearbox & engine ,mineral oil can even reduce performance & yes 1500-2000 kms max duration for yamalube mineral oil.Originally posted by manjish View PostOk I've done 1500kms till now and while servicing at 998 kms the service station filled mineral oil from yamalube and he had no options of semi synthetic one. You are yourself commenting in one of blog/forum/website and one of them so why should someone believe you too? Please provide proof of your chemical engineering degree. 😆😆😆☺☺...
