I have got my bike delivered on 14^th August. But the bike is pending for registration. And the dealer is saying nothing is pending at their end and it is the process form RTO that is taking so much time. So it will take minimum next week to get the registration done. Anyone from Navi Mumbai who can validate this.

Temporary registration may take a day or two (usually done on same day). Permanent registration take some time and RC book will be dispatched after 25days.

Normally there won't be any delays unless there is an issue at RTO or too many vehicle line up for registrations on same day

That was the earlier process. In this case the complete process was a remote process, you never need to visit to RTO. But now they are saying that I will get my RC book before and one day they will take my bike to RTO for say 1/2 hour to get it verified. Earlier the RC book used to be a smart card but now it's a paper only.

As per my idea permanent registration is done only after it's been inspected by the inspector, smart card is optional.
I think dealer has given you a TC number and you need to take your bike for a permanent registration later on.
Please verify info with your respective RTO asap

Maybe dealer has a backhand tie up with rto officials.

When I took my Pulsar in the year 2011, I was initially provided with TC number. And it took complete 1 month 2 weeks to get the RC book delivered by India post. But then they were the Bajaj dealers. The one from where I have bought my bike is a multi bike showroom. They told me that now RTO doesn't provide smartcard anymore instead it's only on papers. And I will get the Rc book in next 2-3 days. Post that they have to take the bike to RTO in another 2-3 days for physical verification. However I will check with my dealer once again regarding the RC if it is a Smartcard/Paper and whether it will be delivered in next 2-3 days. Will update you accordingly.

So today went to Adarsh Yamaha in Okhla Phase II with some hope of getting the problem fixed.

After arriving the security immediately pointed me to the concerned technician with whom I had a lengthy talk explaining the issue. The technician was very patient and considerate, and listened to all my problems while drafting the job card. I was pleasantly surprised after the horrific experience i had in the Gurgaon SVC.

After the bike had cooled down enough, the bike was taken into a bay and the valve clearence was checked. The valve clearance was indeed off in both the valves and the technician did the necessary adjustments to make sure the clearance is under spec. Meanwhile he also spotted a number of glaring omissions that were made in the first service and rectified them such as greasing of the cables and regapping of the spark plugs. They even added chain clean and lube as compensation for all the troubles that i went through!

I was impressed with the manner they handled my problem which i had been suffering for the last 1 week. I personally thanked the engineer at the workshop for the professionalism and patience that was shown by the staff.

And what about the sound you say? Is it still there or not?

It's gone to a large extent. The engine is much smoother and that 'torque wave' feeling is back.

People of Delhi, Adarsh Yamaha in Okhla Phase II is the place to go if you have any problems in the bike. They'll probably have my business for all the services coming up.

Hs anyone installed hazard lights adapter on Yamaha Fz25? Will installing these void the warranty?

Adapter or switch? Adapter is different.

I meant the readily available adapters like the ones f to play with the wiring. Kindly correct me if I am wrong.

Those adapters works only with LED indicators.

Oh is it? Is there anyway to install hazard lights without fiddling with the wiring, so that warranty doesnt become void?
