Yamaha FZ25 Cyan colour bike, robbed at gun point from my son in Kota Rajasthan. Bike was new, hardly 1600 kms done and one and half months old. Purchased on 19th May and Robbed on 14th July.

My son yet to make learning licence and has initiated the process.

Lodged FIR on the same day and have informed insurance company as well.

What is the legal hurdle in not having the learners licence at the time of crime.

Will initiate claim after file closure, hope is done in 3 months.

Also KOTA Residents are warned not to venture out in isolated places.
I got the bike back from Mahaveer Nagar Police Station. It was lying in another police station for 4 months.
Took it to the WS, and is again lying there for a whole one month waiting for spares.
Battery is stolen, wires cut, handle bar bent, both side panels broken, gear lever bent, chain rusted so is the rear disc. Petrol tank lock broken, Rear view mirror missing, Front Panel removed by dacoits, mud guard front broken.

Waiting for some spares for the last three weeks lock set, front panel etc at local WS.

Just for info pls.

Thanks

Yes ! Police report for bike damage is attached with insurance claim. Insurance is handled by WS, hence I am not sure what I will be paying at the end.

insurance is for the bike not for the accesories of the bike... leg guard comes under accessories for which insurance premium is not paid.... what is WS ??

This is so annoying. Our hard earned money, our emotions, and just a gun is enough to rob it away. These robbers should be tied to the bike and dragged on gravel roads. Glad that you got it back though. Don't spare those morons if they are found. Make sure their lives are damaged beyond repair.

They are hard core criminals. Two of them caught and are in Kota and Jaipur Jail. They are involved in looting, ransom and murder. Many cases against them in many police stations. Police was inactive for the whole of 4 months. Its by luck that the culprit involved in attempted murder and got caught in nakebandi, otherwise never would have known the fate of bike.
Already identified the culprits and it depends upon when the hearing comes in court.

Either my gearbox is getting better or else I am adapting to the not so smooth shifts. Two doubts:

1.I have double clicks when shifting, mainly upshifts. When I change gears uptil 3rd, the gear lever clicks twice, very small clicks but perceivable, before slotting into the next gear. I won't say the force required to upshift is hard, but definitely not smooth. I keep doubting if the gear has fallen. If anyone has a know how or experienced this, is it a problem with the chain or clutch?. Slowly getting used to the false neutrals in traffic now.

2. And how many Km's should I run before the gearbox stops making a huge thunk sound for downshifts and a smaller clunk sound for upshifts .
