    Yes.

Run for at least 2k kms and you’ll see everything falling into its place.
Get that tapper issues fixed after 3k kms.

The tappet noise has become worse after 3300km. Starts at 5k rpm and intensifies through the rpm range making "Garr" noise. Didn't notice earlier cause of full face helmet. I had took the bike to svc after first service, they didn't rectify it and made it worse. Any ways to get the issue fixed? Please suggest

        first service done.
Cruised at 100-105kmph for few minutes.
I feel ns200 is more refined than this bike at 100kph and upwards.

I considered fz25 for touring purpose. Are touring accessories such as tank bags, panniers, saddle bags etc easily available in Bangalore? If yes, please share link. Is the saddle truly comfortable?

My clutch is tight already and the SVC checked everything they could for now. The issue I face is when upshifting at times the gear clicks twice as opposed to once. Its kind of rough upshift. Downshifts are still clunky, hard and noisy and once the bike gets heated it refuses to downshift until I rev and then falls with a huge thunk. The SVC told they will look into the clutch assembly during second service if it doesn't get any better. But frankly I don't think its going to get any better as there are people still complaining about gear shifts even after 5000 kms and I will have to learn to live with a non slick gearbox. I think its only a few of the unlucky guys who got a bad batch and mine is one. I know I shouldn't give up on it this early but definitely this will not be my last bike which I initially thought it would be.
Even my friend who thought I was complaining too much rode my bike and agreed with the pain I feel with this gearbox.

Thinking of changing rear sprocket to 42 teeth from r15 v1?
                Anybody has done already?

That would be an interesting upgrade. I m thinking something in these lines.
Might need to cut chain as the new rear sprocket is small. Best would be a 16T front sprocket. Not sure which bike has a 16T front sprocket though.

Exactly my experience with the bike. Bike is OK under 100kmph. Anything more will make the engine stress out.

Same here. I don't miss my RTR 160 much from the Vibe perspective . I was expecting it to become better with time. But with more people with more Km's on the ODO saying it is yet to change, I am sure I will ever feel the true Yamaha smoothness and that I got a lemon. The test ride bike felt pretty smooth and I took it only till 70 and didn't feel vibes. I never got to check how much it had run. But being a dedicated test bike, it would have been pretty much abused inspite of which it felt nice. Whereas mine starts becoming vibey, especially high frequency irritating vibes from the tank area right after I cross 65 to 70.

Have the same issues like you. May be we have the bikes manufactured in the same line. Have seen others saying the bike can cruise comfortably at 100 to 110k. Even the test bike was smooth. What's annoying me the most is tappet noise at 5k rpm and beyond which is pathetic for a Yamaha bike. Sounds like old pulsars. Does your bike has this tappet issue?

Yes. Tappet noise started right from 550 kms. It used to irritate me a lot when I used my Vega helmet, because of which I used to feel hesitant pushing the bike to above 5k rpms even after crossing those many Km's. Now I use MT helmet which drowns it out and hence am able to live with it. It seems the current batches have all these issues resolved as one guy in the Fz 25 group here got a November manufactured model last week and he says its smooth as a typical Yamaha right from day one, both gearbox and engine. Even the Powerdrifts recent review tells the gearbox issue is resolved. I got a June manufactured bike inspite of buying in November . And to top all this I have a loud chain noise which the SVC is clueless about. I know I shouldn't write off Yamaha just because I got a lemon, but I will most probably switch back to apache if I am able to save enough after this ones loan gets over .

That's why should never buy a new bike. Lesson learnt. Yes, with full face helmet tappet noise gets muted. But does this issue affect engine life or performance is my main concern. Or else I can live with that
