Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Thanks you are right, just checked again by kept kill switch on and it sounded again, i love this sound, is there any harm doing so? When kill switch off means to turn engine off its not making that sound. Dont know why that time bike dont need fi sound. Or may be when we start it starts together and we cant hear it due to engine noise.Originally posted by krishan..... View Post

This entire thread is about the performance of the fz25. Skim through a few pages, you'll realise the good and bad points. Would take too long for someone to summarize everything as many are new owners including myself while some have owned it much longer.
The bike has a very pronounced character and it appears to evolve with age so some issues remain, while some owners say many issues go away.
A few of mine ..
Some quick positives:
1. Forgiving and neutral behaviour
2. Torquey motor and good range of usable power
3. Decent ride height should suit most riders with varying body structures and height.
4. Good fuel efficiency for a 250cc
5. Quite nimble in traffic and definitely super cushioned ride with its suspension and tyre combination
6. Lovely bassy exhaust
Negatives:
1. Not as refined a motor as one would expect especially the tappet sound taking away from the overall experience.
2. Decent LED headlight. Adequate for city.. not for highways
3. Weak stock horn
4. Buggy instrument cluster on some
5. Tight clunky gearshifter on some
6. Not the best rear view mirrors
7. No ABS // some find the braking to be less than they'd like ESP the rear. I find the rear to be ok.. can lock up but doesn't kick out from under you as much as I've experienced on pulsars. The front discs are pretty sharp.Last edited by Absoluthavoc; 10-25-2017, 05:15 PM.

I am one with you.Originally posted by hemanta View PostI've run about 100kms with motul 7100 10w40. I don't like it much. More vibrations on the handle bar. Positive is that engine sound is better, bike feels like it has more power. Redlining it is much better now. So I would say more power with more vibesb SANE to b insane!

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Hey Guys, Did anyone from Chennai get OE accessories - engine guard, skid plate etc. My dealer doesn't have and I checked with one more and they don't have either. Both claim that the part numbers released by Yamaha are not showing in their systems.

Are there any owners from Cochin here?. How good is the service center out here?. After coming down to cochin this has become my main criteria for choosing between this and the RTR 200. Any suggestions would help as I have to book ASAP.
