Few inputs after completing another short trip:
1. Completed using Motul 7100 FS for more than 1000kms now. As of now no problems are experienced. it's only like post 3k rpm or rather around 4 to 5k rpm I hear a different engine sound. I went to Yamaha SC. They have confirmed me that Motul 7100 10w40 (FS) is perfect for FZ25 and there is no harm in using it. I have also asked if using any lube oil other than Yamaha may harm the warranty. They have replied a dead no. They showed me that there are users who use Motul and that has been filled at there stations.
2. Those who are creeping on braking, I would like to share an experience of mine. Day before yesterday I had an accident. I was coming back to Mumbai using NH48, somewhere in a bridge A Verna in front of me made a dead stop. I was riding at a speed of 110kmph. I manged to slow down while using both brakes and braked really hard. I have however rear ended the Verna but then the bike left almost scratch less and braking was good enough that the bike came to halt with a stoppie. Though I have rear ended the Verna the impact was minimal due to good braking.
3. The bike is really good. And the parts even though pointed out as flimsy, post my experience I will say they are really durable.

Replace the bike, its not good to have issues in one 30Km especially in engine. Have them change the bike and get it after registering.Originally posted by Ricky8725 View PostAlso, the odometer and the speedometer doesn't work. They said they'll switch those on once the registration is done. Is it normal practice or are they having me on?

No, do not accept the bike if they don’t fix this before registration. This is not a normal practice. Take picture and videos then shoot a mail to Yamaha citing your issue, concerns and malpractice at showroom.Originally posted by Ricky8725 View PostAlso, the odometer and the speedometer doesn't work. Normally Yamaha will give you a new bike since you have issue even before registration is done.
I gave my bike for service at Arjun Yamaha located near ballal circle. They did a very good job in servicing my bike.Originally posted by Shamanth Gowda View PostCan anyone suggest good SVC in Mysore? Thanks

As per my knowledge 10W40 FS Yamaha lube. I think fully synthetic is compulsory for both FZ25 and R3.Originally posted by Shamanth Gowda View Postkrishna6239
I purchased my bike from same showroom. Glad to know they are good. What grade oil(FS or SS) did they use during servicing?
Regarding horns, if I get a single aftermarket horn should I use a relay for connecting it ?
If I have to use a relay, how much wattage/amps ?Last edited by krishna6239; 10-24-2017, 08:35 PM.

Sorry bro , I don't have knowledge in mods. My friend had told that relay has to be used. I'll ask with SVC weather they can install fazer 25 horn and let you know this weekend.Originally posted by krishna6239 View PostAs per my knowledge 10W40 FS Yamaha lube. Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Got my bike after the first service(1k completed) . The brakes were exceptionally well before the first service . I was really impressed by the brakes . but now the front brake is pathetic . the response is too dull. I met with the SC guy and made him check the brakes ( removed , cleaned and re-installed) . still no good . the explanation given by him is that the low response is because of the diesel used to clean the disc. And he ensured that this problem will gradually disappear as the bike starts gaining kms. So should I be worried or am I good to go .. ??Last edited by A.Dhanush95; 10-24-2017, 09:19 PM.

I've run about 100kms with motul 7100 10w40. I don't like it much. More vibrations on the handle bar. Positive is that engine sound is better, bike feels like it has more power. Redlining it is much better now. So I would say more power with more vibes

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Thanks everyone for your responses. I took my bike to the showroom wherein they informed me that the check engine light was on due to the odometer and speedometer being disconnected. They reconnected them both and the check engine light is no longer there. The MD of the dealership said the same thing and gave it in writing.
I am yet to receive response to my mail to Yamaha helpline though.

I think it is the sound of fuel pump priming, kinda weird your bike has stopped making that check again.Originally posted by shravanchoudhary9 View PostGuys,
