Hi.. Got the 1st service done at 1020 KM. Even now I'm facing strong vibration on handlebar, footpegs and underseat at 5K rpm (80-85 kmph). It's really annoying coz that's the ideal cruising speed in highways. Anyways to rectify or minimize the issue? kindly suggest.

Always do the first service before 700km.Originally posted by Shamanth Gowda View PostHi.. Got the 1st service done at 1020 KM. Some vibes will always be there between 65 to 85kmph. After that its all smooth till 130kmph. Though vibes will reduce to almost 80% post 2k kms.Originally posted by Shamanth Gowda View PostHi.. Lots of people and magazine reviews said that the FZ250 is smooth-but after riding it ,went for the D390 as found that the tingles were almost the same-so why bear the the lack of power

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
I took test drive of Duke 200 also but found fz25 to be smooth at speeds below 65kmph. That's the mistake I did by not taking the bike for higher speeds. I thought fz would be smooth till atleast 100 but proved wrong. Now I regret for not getting the Duke. Anyways have to live with my decision and have to get over the issue.Originally posted by zestbiker View PostLots of people and magazine reviews said that the FZ250 is smooth-but after riding it ,went for the D390 as found that the tingles were almost the same-so why bear the the lack of power

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
As per the bill they changed the oil to yamalube sporty premium FS. I was not present at the time of oil change though. They have adjusted tappets as there is less noise now.Originally posted by ankit.traveller View PostAre you sure of svc mechanic changed engine oil and set tappets?

It's not normal. What's the odo reading when you purchased the bike? I suggest you to take the bike to SVC.Originally posted by Prem211 View Posthello guys i got my bike 1 week ago, i always drive my bike below 4 rmp and never crossing my speed above 3 to 4 rpm but still my bikes makes bad tappet valve sound also after driving a certain distance when i start driving from 1 st gear it is very loud tappet noise is it ok??? and from past 3 days m noticing drop in pickup and power.

gowda bro, i think they have not changed oil make sure to see the oil change yourself.
About vibration 70-90 (minor vibration )after 90 it is smooth like hell
You cant compare a duke 390 ‘s vibrations they are unbearable while fz 25 is very refined only after cbr 250, so vibration will not be a issue there ,minor buzz is present in every bike in certain rpm.
If you are experiencing extra vibration with your particular bike check engine oil.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Might me the cause. That's why I miss the oil level indicator in fz. Anyways fellow riders told that the engine will settle after 2k km. Will wait till then and ride sensibly. If issue persists I'll change oil. ThanksOriginally posted by niharx View Postgowda bro, i think they have not changed oil make sure to see the oil change yourself.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
It will take at least 3000 to 4000 km to get the bike settled properly. Regarding engine oil , I had the same idea s the engine oil was not changed in front of me. SO I got Motul 10w40 7100 FS. Now the thing is that Yamalube is better for this as the oil from Motul is good but this is not meant for a commuter. So the issue I face is heat in B2B traffic and vibrations in different RPM. So I have decided to get back to Yamalube in second servicing which is closing and will change the oil and oil filter in front of me.Originally posted by Shamanth Gowda View PostMight me the cause. That's a common issue with almost every fz25. So need not to worry about tappet. And during break in do take your bike to different RPM's rather than sticking to 4kRPM. Make sure you don't stay in a selected band of RPM for long. Take it to short bursts in varying RPM that will help you to break in the bike properly.
And do not forget to change the engine oil at 300kms for the first time.b SANE to b insane!
