The time you spent quoting me and reply me could have been better utilized had you responded to my original query.Originally posted by Chandan92 View Posthttp://www.yamaha-motor-india.com/ne...l-kolkata.html

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
If mielage and high speed performance (above 120kmph) is not a concern they go for d390. I own fz25.Originally posted by zestbiker View PostAnybody here who has moved from KTM Duke390 to Fz250??
If yes, would like to know their views on both the bikes!
In a dilemma between the two-new FZ250 and a BS3 D390 for nearly the same money.
Need a bike as daily run a about,two long trips a year,a keeper for 7-8years of usage-I am a 44year old non-alpha male,riding since last 28 years.
My choice of a high is acceleration so the disparate nature of the two bikes in contention.
Thanks in advance.
Regards.

Bro r u on fz25 watsap group?Originally posted by riazmomin View PostIf you are talking about idle, then what ever is mentioned in manual, its best.
But, if you are talking about riding RPM, I found 4000-4500 RPM to be most relaxed and best for fuel efficiency.
Idle RPM is there to keep bike running i.e. minimum amount of Air/Fuel mixture sent so as to bike to run with out any accelerator inputs.
Partially true, higher idle will use up more fuel if you plan to to run the bike on idle.
I had 390 and sold it last month and took FZ250. You can check my post in this thread to get more details on view of both bikes,
390 is excellent bike no doubt. Its feature rich and equally great at performance.
It is rough and demands respect. Power delivery is brutal if you are coming from smaller CC bikes.
I have used it in cuty almost 90% of its 47000 KMs in 3 1/2 years. It has been excellent work horse and also can eat up miles over weekend or long rides.
On other hand, FZ25 is no-nonsense bike. It doesnt have technology jingles. Simple FI unit and a Oil-cooler unit.
It is a relaxed motorcycle and can be ridden by a newbie (contrary to posts in this thread).
Refined motorcycle which will give you a pleasant riding experience and also will eat miles over weekend or long ride cruising at 90-100 kmph all day.
Me too being on higher side of 35 years, FZ is better option just for sake of its simplicity.

Only people from Kolkata can confirm this.Originally posted by arsenalfan001 View PostDude, I have already been to a couple of them and had a test ride too.
I just wanted to confirm the ex showroom price for Kolkata, that info is not available on Yamaha India website :-)
I too had ot go to showroom to get the ex-showroom price.
Better call up! It must be around 1.24 Lacs.
