Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Been 6 months since I got my bike (Bikerz Alandur) and still haven't received engine guard and skid plates as promised during delivery. Whenever I call them they claim their orders are in backlog with Yamaha and they're yet to receive the parts. Luckily I didn't pay anything for the accessories while invoicing the bike. I even checked with couple of other dealers and it's the same story everywhere. Since the bike is new, even shops in GP road shops doesn't have the accessories. Apparently there's a welding shop in Pudupet where engine guard can be custom fitted.Originally posted by ramnarayanan View Post

Green looks good on those gixxers I've seen. I'm considering replacing my orange rim stickers with some other colourOriginally posted by jass007 View PostGreen and Blue, I really don't find it matching. (No offence).

Might give it try then.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
What's the fuel efficiency you'll are getting in city with medium to heavy traffic?.. my FE has dipped from 30.3 to 26.04 from my last 2 full tank to full tank calculations.
My average fuel efficiency now stands at 27.8 kmpl with full 100% city riding at an average of 9.6km/day usage.
Total mileage 625km on the clock
The onboard Avg FE indicated is 26.4 kmpl

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Yup 50% owners have reported early change of rear pads. But soft pads is the reason also for superior braking as wheels doesn't lock easily. Also depends on front rear brake usage ratio.Originally posted by Abhishell12 View PostHello Guys.. I have my own Fz25.. I'm very upset with my fz25's rear brake disc pad.. My bike's rear brake bad has gone at 4000kms only.. Anyone have same problem??
10km per day usage is the reason of low mielage. Try to have a long ride for few days in tank full to calculate correct mielage.Originally posted by Absoluthavoc View PostWhat's the fuel efficiency you'll are getting in city with medium to heavy traffic?.. my FE has dipped from 30.3 to 26.04 from my last 2 full tank to full tank calculations.

I think you mean distance doesn't matter. It's the conditions. That's why I specified 100% city traffic.Originally posted by ankit.traveller View PostYup 50% owners have reported early change of rear pads. Obviously long rides will give better mileage but that's under different conditions.. much less gear shifting and clutch usage with higher speeds in higher gears lesser wastage of fuel and stress on the engine.
But that's not what I'm looking at and that defeats the purpose of getting an accurate comparison of fuel efficiency in city traffic conditions

When I rode 120kmph+ continously for 1hr on expressway console showed 23kmpl.
After reseting meter when I rode 80-100 for half an hr console showed 37kmpl.
Before entering heavy traffic conditions of city again I reset meter and rode around 20km then console showed 28kmpl.

So it lines up closely to my city experience with this bike. Below 30 kmpl in my mind feels a tad low for this motorOriginally posted by ankit.traveller View PostSame day observations:

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
There is something interesting I noticed this week. The seat was hard when the bike was new. Now it's softened up just where the load acts. So now it's perfectly fitted to my seating posture. I don't carry a pillion much and the rear seat is still hard. So for those of you considering adding foam, would suggest to wait for 4 to 5000 kms for a comfortable seat.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Hi guy,
I've travelled Pune to khammam with night break in Hyderabad... Total 760 kms on Tuesday/Wednesday
Rpm 7k+ and speed between 115~120, got mileage of 30~31 kmpl.
Very much satisfied with bike performance. The way it picks up , one will fell in love with bike instantly.
Earlier I was one of the guy who complained about brakes, I must take it back now. Response it had given during ride was amazing. It justifies answer given by Yamaha during launch of fz250 "we have full trust in our braking system " for question why there is no ABS.
And I didn't felt any niggles due to upright riding position, and calculated break times. But yeah got shoulder ache due to riding jacket which I'm not used to it.
I didn't feel any vibrations until 110 kmph on my bike. 6th gear is the only thing I felt missing during entire ride because of torque engine.
This is my first long post, okese ignore if any typos or mistakes...

And check brakes also.. I had brake pad issue so my bike's rear wheel was normally tight and it was affecting mileage..Originally posted by Absoluthavoc View PostI think you mean distance doesn't matter. Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
What's your traffic conditions? Heavy or medium? Does your daily running involve intermediate open roads (stretches without too many signals) in terms of running or do you have significant stop go roads coupled with heavy traffic?Originally posted by Abhishell12 View PostMy Bike giving mileage of 35km/ltr in city.. accelerate bike smoothly.. Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Mate, the numbers seem to be on the lower side. The worst I got before the 1st service/1000kms is around 35kmpl. The ride included 80% traffic and 20% highway. 26kmpl is something skeptical for this engine. Assuming there's nothing wrong with the quality of the fuel and the bike, I think the worst case mileage should be something between 31kmpl to 33kmpl.Originally posted by Absoluthavoc View PostWhat's the fuel efficiency you'll are getting in city with medium to heavy traffic?.. my FE has dipped from 30.3 to 26.04 from my last 2 full tank to full tank calculations.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Normally in mixed conditions my console hovers around 33-35 kmpl. My odo is 6500km. During break in period console used to be above 40+ but after that difficult to control the wrist.Originally posted by Absoluthavoc View PostSo it lines up closely to my city experience with this bike.
