Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Didn't you check that before buying the bike.. And you can't compare it with Gixxer if you want to compare Than do it with Duke, Apache 200,ns 200 and above 200©©...Originally posted by Sai ashish View PostToday I did a run of 140 kms. My odo is 700kms. My experience- The exhaust note for rpms above 3900 in 5th gear is too harsh- the sound is like a bajaj diesel auto hitting your ears constantly. You will get tired easily. This is prohibiting me to rev beyond 4000 rpm. I have ridden Suzuki zixxer 155 which has no exhaust noise even at 67 kmph and is simply fantastic, you would be amazed to see how freely the engine revs. The vibes come in at 60 to 74 kmph beyond which it gets smooth. There is constant tappet noise which is irritating. I feel the refinement of engine is not up-to mark and am sceptical of the reliability. The engine sounds like a 10 year old bike- sorry to say that.

Ashis bro -in my case i love the grunt which is present above 4500rpm ,you cant compare a gixxer coz it is 100cc less it is bound to be smooth, afterall its best 150segment bike
You are the first member to report harshness issue , kindly get a test ride of another fz25 to confirm.
I hv ridden gixxer it is super refined ,in 250segment ,cbr 250 is most refined while fz25 is not far back

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Hey bro..its a 250cc air cooled engine which will be a bit noisy in run in period compared to 150cc smoothie. This engine requires aggressive throttle input, if you try to feel its smoothness with soft throttle input like 150cc then you will feel more harshness. Ride hard but.Originally posted by Sai ashish View PostToday I did a run of 140 kms. My odo is 700kms. You are still in run in period and reving it hard and expecting engine to be butter smooth is too much of an ask for any new engine.Originally posted by Sai ashish View PostToday I did a run of 140 kms. Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Fz25 post break-in review: The strange thing about my break-in period is, most of it were joyrides. Pushed my bike twice beyond 120 kph, but rest was mostly within the prescribed rpm band. The bike has behaved brilliantly so far. Accelareted of the line like a maniac, handled bumps like a car, and best of all, cut through traffic like bone through butter. One nagging problem was upshift from 2nd to 3rd gear, but that was sorted in servicing. The most nagging however has been a sudden vibration that has crept into the front disc. Not there below 30 kph, but keeps increasing with speed. The service center guy cleaned the brakes innards but the problem's persisted. I chose to ignore it though, braking has improved ever since. Overall, i would give an 8.5/10 to the fz25.
Oh yeah, if anyone could suggest something about the disc brake vibration, would be obliged.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Which Akrapovic is this? This exhaust makes it sound like a 2 cylinder..., unlike other exhausts which just makes it sound like free flow exhausts
