    Thank you.
There is no interval for chain cleaning & lubrication its all about how dirty it is ,you have to inspect it weekly
if you ride highways only the chain lube will last you more than 1000kms or so
in muddy or dusty roads ,you need to inspect chain condition then clean & apply lube.

    I usually clean after 500-700kms as i ride 70% highways , 25% city,5% offroad .

However after going through some of the previous posts, seems like braking is bit worry in this bike even at low speed as it doesn't offer ABS.
Is this riskier in rainy season on wet roads or cruising at high speeds(100-120 Kmph) and suddenly dog comes in between where you need to come to complete halt.
Chances of wheel lock and skids?
Guys, I need your valuable inputs/comments on breaking aspect .

It's been 2 months since I bought the bike and the bike has clocked 2000kms+
Just wanted to provide some observations here
      1) I am not sure if this bike is for clocking high speeds but more towards enjoying those 60 to 110 kmph cruising feel.
Recently did a trip to Hampi(almosy 1k round trip)with pillion and a luggage of 10 to 15 kgs on us, one thing ,all through trip I never felt the weight nor felt there was a pillion behind me and pillion also mentioned that she had a comfortable ride all through the trip except for the bad roads part and this I think is the best part of this bike, never felt any lack of power either with the added weight.
      2) Bike handling at city is just precise, never feels aggressive and gives proper response to throttle when the need arises.
3)I did observe some coin rattling or hissing at lower rpms which subsided as I hit higher gears
      4) Currently getting 34.5km/ltr in Bangalore traffic according to the mileage indicator and 38 to 39km/ltr at highways without pillion.
5)Regarding the "Headlight Throw" , I somehow have no complaints with it, the throw was fine when riding at highway at 90kmph at night , but I think the issue arises when there are Halogen Lampost on the street, as orange throw of this Lampost seems to seep more compared to the white light of LED and overcomes the Bike headlight to a very good extent.
      6) This bike is so minimal . I kinda like it, seems made for the purpose.

      Now for the questions ,
1)In what interval it's best to lubricate the chain and whats the preferable oil brand?
      2) I have heard about decreased mileage with service , can you guys provide input on this?

      Thank you.

      Well Said bro same here..........

I done around 2500 km and am very happy with the bike and performance no issue till now

      Bad things about is

01-bike easily get mud on rainy time
02-silencer pipe get mud color soon

Ridden 80+ speed on rainy road no problem with the brakes till now.

      Thanks

      • Help with Registration

        Hi Friends,

        Need some advice.

Recently I bought a Yamaha FZ-250 from Yamaha Kings Motors in Baner Rd, Pune. Its nearly 4 weeks now and I haven't got any SMS or information from DMV.
Now I realized that I made a mistake by going to this particular dealer. Service is pathetic. Also if you look at the google site reviews for this dealer, many folks are facing the same problem(rating is 2.8). Now I am wondering what options I have. These sales agents dont pick up my call now. Now a days I go to showroom. Every time they give a new excuse.

How can I find someone who is responsible/owner for this dealer ? Front desk folks are useless and customer service in really bad.
Can I complain to someone in Yamaha ? Will they listen ?
Can I try something on my own with DMV ?

First day of my ride home itself, cop caught me. They harassed but eventually let me go. So I am not riding my bike and waiting for the registration number.

Appreciate any pointers in this regard

        Thanks in Advance
        Raj

Hi the braking is just perfect in use. It's quite hard to mess up even in panic braking. The bike maintains its line. So far in those situations it's worked well. In wet weather any bike is on two wheels so can expect only so much. Won't stop like a car in rain. Another thing is that the engine gives a lot of control with its torque. Engine braking and the precise throttle control is a useful combination.

Dear brother, get original invoices, insurance papers, form 20 and 21 from the dealer and go to transport office and enquire. You can also check the registration number by showing the transport department people the chassis number.

You can enquire with the RTO and give the chassis number. The registration papers are sent through registered post to your invoice address.

The same happened to me. My sub dealer was procrastinating insurance and registration process and then I had to take the help of another person. I even enquired with RTO and they said you bring the required papers and we will do it at a charge of 250/- only. Some how a person helped me and it was done. I took original invoice, insurance, form 20 and 21 from the dealer for registration.

You can not change LEDs if I remember it right.

Yes, looks like the lights cannot be changed. It’s a sealed unit. Costs above 3k. With taxes should be 4K with labor cost. [emoji24][emoji24][emoji24]

I am fine spending even 5K or more if headlight can be changed reliably - this is one of the major reasons why I have excluded this bike so far. Is it possible to change the headlight somehow w/o affecting FI and normal functioning of the bike?

Most fz25 owners are using aux led setup and are happy. I know riders who have done long night ride daily while on tour, without any trouble. HL intensity is bad only during oncoming vehicles HL glare but during pitch dark its good enough if beam adjusted correctly.
