Make sure the disc is not warped. I know its a new bike, but manufacturing defects happen and some pass through QC checks and into customers hands.Originally posted by JyotishmanS View PostYamaha YZF-R15

I don't think it's that because the problem suddenly started. The svc person said the brake's fine even with the vibration.Originally posted by christo View PostMake sure the disc is not warped. Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Yesterday did it's first service. Things have improved a bit now. The handle has been adjusted to suit my sitting position. Regarding tappet noise the technician said it would remain as it as since the valve clearance is something about 8 to 16- which is greater than fz16 and only has to be adjusted around 3000 kms, since the engine would be settled by then. The valve clearance can be adjusted now,but it would not be good for the engine.Originally posted by vsbharani View PostI have never experienced the exhaust sound as you said. Have crossed more 5K kms.. Tappet noise was the earlier and its fixed.. Better check at asc..

This is not OE Akrapovic .. you can find similar stuff in Ali ExpressOriginally posted by jass007 View Posthttps://youtu.be/6a9KF9yoc9M
Which Akrapovic is this? This exhaust makes it sound like a 2 cylinder..., unlike other exhausts which just makes it sound like free flow exhaustsYamaha RX100 (1993)

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Hi I own a 2014 model Yamaha FZ16.
Last weekend after I got my bike serviced, I noticed a slight oil leak near the Engine oil drain bolt.
I told mechanic about it yesterday and he tried to tighten it. In this process he stripped the threads on my Engine.
The bolt is loose and not sitting rigidly in its position. He did a temporary fix by using some kind of glue and a plastic wrap around tape used by plumbers to seal leaking water taps. I feel it may fall off somewhere while riding once engine gets heated up.
Can someone please guide me where and How i can get it fixed?
Mechanic was telling me he will get it fixed in a lathe shop by re-threading and will use oversize bolt but I don't trust him anymore.
Already 3 years back during my second service itself in authorized SVC they re-threaded it and used oversize bolts to fix leak. The problem is back again.
Please suggest me a good mechanic or a place where I can get it fixed in Bangalore.I'm planning to ride it very slow till it gets fixed
Pic: it looks something like this picture in the below link.
Sorry for posting this in both FZ16 and FZ25 threads, I badly need some quick suggestion on this. Please reply.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Hi Folks,
I'm planning to purchase FZ25 shortly.
However after going through some of the previous posts, seems like braking is bit worry in this bike even at low speed as it doesn't offer ABS.
Is this riskier in rainy season on wet roads or cruising at high speeds(100-120 Kmph) and suddenly dog comes in between where you need to come to complete halt.
Chances of wheel lock and skids?
Guys, I need your valuable inputs/comments on breaking aspect .

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Compared to other non abs bikes fz25 rear wheels doesn't get locked on good roads during panic braking as pads are soft nissin. Gravel and slippery road is another condition where caution must be given during high speeds. I feel fz25 have best braking in non abs bikes.Originally posted by Praveen Malempati View PostHi Folks,

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Hey all, been a lurker in this site for quite some time especially in this forum since I was interested in FZ25 and after reading most of your inputs ,went ahead and bought FZ25.
It's been 2 months since I bought the bike and the bike has clocked 2000kms+
Just wanted to provide some observations here
1) I am not sure if this bike is for clocking high speeds but more towards enjoying those 60 to 110 kmph cruising feel.
Recently did a trip to Hampi(almosy 1k round trip)with pillion and a luggage of 10 to 15 kgs on us, one thing ,all through trip I never felt the weight nor felt there was a pillion behind me and pillion also mentioned that she had a comfortable ride all through the trip except for the bad roads part and this I think is the best part of this bike, never felt any lack of power either with the added weight.
2) Bike handling at city is just precise, never feels aggressive and gives proper response to throttle when the need arises.
3)I did observe some coin rattling or hissing at lower rpms which subsided as I hit higher gears
4) Currently getting 34.5km/ltr in Bangalore traffic according to the mileage indicator and 38 to 39km/ltr at highways without pillion.
5)Regarding the "Headlight Throw" , I somehow have no complaints with it, the throw was fine when riding at highway at 90kmph at night , but I think the issue arises when there are Halogen Lampost on the street, as orange throw of this Lampost seems to seep more compared to the white light of LED and overcomes the Bike headlight to a very good extent.
6) This bike is so minimal
. I kinda like it, seems made for the purpose.
Now for the questions ,
1)In what interval it's best to lubricate the chain and whats the preferable oil brand?
2) I have heard about decreased mileage with service , can you guys provide input on this?
Any other suggestions that I need to follow up please let me know in the comments.
Thank you.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
wheel lock & skid is not common with braking of fz25 , brakes dont offer sharp bite so you dont have to worry about wheel locking, tyres offer good grip thus after riding 4000 kms i haven't experienced a single tyre skid or locking issue.Originally posted by Praveen Malempati View PostHi Folks,

but when you need to come to complete halt it can disappoint you (by a small margin as compared to r15 ,rtr200 & other good braking units)

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
If you want ABS, then your best bet is NS 200 or RS 200. If you are worrying about breaking in first place, don't think twice, pick a bike that has ABS.Originally posted by Praveen Malempati View PostHi Folks,
