Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
I hope Yamaha works on the headlamp issue in the upcoming batches as the current headlamp poses a serious threat while driving nat night.Originally posted by SASWAT NAYAK View PostI have already complained in their fb page 3 times.Every time they ask my details, call me and request me to take my bike to svc and after that the same issue will be there. And when asked they will say"sir ye sound normal he fz25 me kuch nahi kia jaa sakta"[emoji19] .

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Lighter weight (Fz) makes it easier to pick speeds faster despite smaller engine. Both the bikes takes almost 8 seconds to 100 kmph. 1-2 seconds give or take depending on the rider, his weight & his style. Overall both will accelerate in similar fashion till 100!

1. Is dominar slow 0-100?
2. Riders issue?

Mileage Update (275 kms on odo, 36Kmpl)
.
It's not a precise calculation, and i will be using exaggerated figures to find out the minimum mileage my FZ is providing. It's reserve to reserve ( i know it's an FI engine, but we also know that it holds 2.10 in reserve).
.
I got my bike with 1.25L of petrol (showroom guys filled up a litre and according to them the bike had near about .25L petrol). For the safe side, we will exaggerate this figure to 2L. I topped up with xtra-premium worth Rs.505 (505/75 = 6.73L), let's make it 7L. I covered 252 kms on my bike before the reserve trip meter started.
Going by the most simple calculation, my bike did 252kms in 7L(2L was already in the tank which makes up for reserve), so the mileage i got is 252/7= 36kmpl.
Note - This is not an exact calculation. One may also argue about the quantity of petrol, that's why i have exaggerated almost a litre of it to compensate(higher the quantity used, lesser the mileage)
This 36kmpl is not an exact mileage but this is the absolute minimum that my bike is giving and it's definitely very good.
I am using the soft break-in method, as per the manual, not going over 4k for now; no sudden acceleration and lots of engine breaking.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
I'm facing a weird issue.
When I turn my ignition to "on", the instrument panel is sometimes blank (no life). After waiting a few secs, it comes to life. Also my horn changes sound when I honk a little longer. Does this mean the battery is weak?

1. Go to the service center & get it checked. (it looks like a battery issue but not sure, afterall you are 1st one to report this type of issue)Originally posted by sauravalwaysurs View PostI'm facing a weird issue.

Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
I have the same issue. Randomly the bike will not turn on even if I try switching on/off multiple times. I checked the battery terminals, they're not loose. So I will get this checked at the first serviceOriginally posted by sauravalwaysurs View PostI'm facing a weird issue.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Hello guys! I'm new to this forum. It seems this post is created by a fz25 user or related to fz25. I'm about to purchase a yamaha bike. I've 2 options. Yamaha fazer fi & fz 25. My first concern is pillion seat. I want pillion seats to be comfortable for sideway sitting. I've seen Fazer fi & I feel it's comfortable. I just want to know the pillion seat height of fz 25. If you could compare both bikes pillion seat height, please let me know. If the heights are same I'll definitely go to fz 25 else I have to choose fazer fi.

No concerns needed. I have been riding this baby for about 4 months, few pillion riders, and what i heard from them is that it is the best in its segment, far ahead from its rivals, non to say its countless prosOriginally posted by yrvenkat View PostHello guys! Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
if you want pillion to sit one sided both legs, fz25 acceleration will be a bigger concern than seat comfort.Originally posted by yrvenkat View PostHello guys! I'm new to this forum. but fazer fi does not come with long footrest that comes with fz25. someone shared its pics a few pages back. which means they would be dangling their feet.
overall i wouldnt travel with one sided legs passengers on either of these bikes.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Hey Folks! I'm new here and a warm hello! to all the fellow riders.
I have bought a FZ25 - Cyan Blue about 2 weeks back and she handles beautifully through the bangalore traffic. Absolutely no vibrations. I'm coming from a bullet earlier and maybe I feel that way due to the fact that I had got used to so many vibrations earlier!
The LED headlights look amazing and it was probably the reason why I got pulled to her. But no regrets at all.
Just a quick thought.. The pilot lamps just above the headlights are yellow (filament bulb) which in my opinion looks like an eyesore. I really want to change those to white LED's. I know that is the normal t10 type and can get a philips/osram white led as a replacement. Any ideas if this can be a DIY?
