Did you forgot to upload high beam? Both looks same.Originally posted by enabeelahmed7 View PostHi all, today adjusted the headlight throw angle myself. And I'm very much satisfied with the performance of the headlight now.
Well how did you adjusted it? I saw a video on how to adjust which showed only required a screw driver in hole on the left side of HL assembly. But looking at the hole i don't see any screw kind of thing to rotate. Can you pls post a pic and describe a little bit on how to lift that up?| SOL 68s | Rynox Tornado Pro | Rynox Advento | Cramster TRG2 | Scoyco MC20 | Hero 5 and SJ6 |

I've posted the high beam pic too. As there's no obstacle in the centre of the road, it's not visible clearly.Originally posted by paul.1911 View PostDid you forgot to upload high beam? Both looks same.

Yes just a screw driver is required.
If you don't find the screw there , insert the star screw driver inside and try to rotate the lifting gear inside in clockwise direction (you have to rotate screw driver in anti clockwise direction).

I saw this same video. I actually didn't noticed in the video that there is no screw. I tried but nothing happened.Originally posted by enabeelahmed7 View PostYes just a screw driver is required

The design is actually like this.

I thought there is something wrong in my bike but then i re-watched the video (thanks 👍) I then noticed this thing is same. He didn't insert the screw driver straight but slightly angled. Then i actually came to know that we need to lift those gear type of thing up. I tried again but it is slipping, can't get hold of those gears. Will try again. At least i know now what to do actually

You just need to insert the star screw driver inside and try to lock it up with the gear inside. Then rotate the screw driver Anti clockwise direction. It just needs to be done patiently and with lights on so that you can be double sure that you're rotating in the right direction.Originally posted by paul.1911 View PostI saw this same video. After that go for a test ride then decide whether you want to lift it further up or down.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Think of the arrangement like a set of bevel gears. The Philips number 2 screwdriver's four teeth engage with the teeth on the wheel. Rotating either direction lifts or drops the beam. The adjustment is a one time thing and not something you fidget with every time. I assume that's why this setup.Originally posted by paul.1911 View PostI saw this same video. Low beam
High beam
In real world high beam also serves the purpose nicely.
Finally loving the motorcycle more...Thanks to enabeelahmed, I've copied his post and merged with the first post of this thread with a sub titled FZ250 Headlight Adjustment, so that it helps everyone. Since there are lots of owners who aren't quite happy with the headlight throw or are looking for a workaround, this should come in handy.Originally posted by enabeelahmed7 View PostI've posted the high beam pic too. The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

For me it was a great relief after this adjustment. Grateful that Yamaha had a good provision for headlight throw adjustment.
Do other motorcycle in the market too have something like this?

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Hi, enabeel, I don't own the Yamaha FZ250 buddy. As a matter of fact, there were quite some users who weren't satisfied with the throw of the light beam here in our thread, during the initial phases of ownership and there was even a post from some users about the HL unit vibrating due to which a technician from Yamaha seems to have taken note of the issue after their persistence -- well, there is so much info if we go back pages back.Originally posted by enabeelahmed7 View PostHey VJ , did you adjust the headlight in yours too?

Yes, headlamp adjustment is present in almost every vehicle that has an engine and a headlamp and road legal, they are required by law at the manufacturer level to have the beam focused at a certain cut off level. All vehicles have screws and spring loaded screws on the headlamp unit itself which helps adjusts the beam throw. Modern day cars have height adjustable headlamp levelers inside the car (actuated by motors) which can increase and decrease the beam throw of the reflector.
Cheers!

I've done something like this couple of times, haven't smelt anything.Originally posted by Rajathrajk View PostFew hr back I went for a short ride u did 100kmph for almost 15-20km. When I stopped my bike to have tea I noticed some plastic burnt smell . Have anyone experienced ?
If this is your first time then I think there's nothing to worry about, some sealants would have got hot and so the smell.
