Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
I thought that price would decrease. In Kerala, the state VAT and central VAT was high including cess . If GST came, those taxes would no longer be applicable and single GST was applicable for ex-showroom price.Originally posted by chakresh View PostAtleast a difference of 1800 in ex-showroom prices .

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Got my first service done today at 1038 KMS.
It was plain simple service done as per the check list. Air filter cleaning, oil filter change, engine oil change, thorough wash, chain cleaned with diesel and rinsed. Chain adjustment done. Bike dried with pressurized air.
All was 1 hour job with Bill of Rs 980 including taxes.
They did not had crash guard in stock, so could not fit them.
Collected the extended warranty booklet. Extended Warranty covers some 110 parts under it!

After service was done, hit highway for short 15kms trip to take the bike to 7000rpm for a shot burst.

Bike looks pristine! Never thought the crash guard unavailability is a pan India problem. Here in Chennai the showroom, where I bought, guys keep telling their spares for FZ25 are in back order with the company whereas other showrooms are providing crash guard.Originally posted by riazmomin View PostGot my first service done today at 1038 KMS.

Chennai bhpians, can please let me know whether buying a crash guard from GP road is advisable? Also please suggest if you know any reliable shop for accessories such as crash guard, tank cover, and ladies foot rest(if it's even possible).
Cheers!

Crash guard was available when I was purchasing the bike. They quoted Rs 1200 for it and it was too high. I did not want to argue with them as I wanted to check out at other SVCs.
Today they quoted price as Rs 1300 and said that it will be available tomorrow. I will check out at other SVC for price. It is around 900 AFAIK.2007 - Hero Honda CBZ Xtreme

Just now noticed, this series of MRF front tyre has got reverse thread pattern compared to other tyres.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Did my second test ride today... i am so much in love with this bike... test rides done in the last 3 days : 390 (too much power) 250 (too expensive) dominar (did not like the ride & feel) classic 500 (not too comfortable) thunder bird 500 (very smooth & superb - am wishing to buy this one) and today 2nd test ride of fz250 (simply superb- no nonsense bike - may be the 5 speed will be an issue on the highways) so my final decision is pending between 1.40L to 2.08L

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Believe me FZ25 is no nonsense bike as rightly said. In city there should be no problem at all, in fact can't go top speed most of the times. In Highway, generally the normal cruising speed is 100-120kmph which this bike should be able to do comfortably. I'm riding Fz25 for past 3 months or more. Good VFM and nicely built. Yes sixth gear should've been provided but having taller gear ratios, doesn't make much difference.Originally posted by prashnagpal View PostDid my second test ride today... i am so much in love with this bike... test rides done in the last 3 days : 390 (too much power) 250 (too expensive) dominar (did not like the ride & feel) classic 500 (not too comfortable) thunder bird 500 (very smooth & superb - am wishing to buy this one) and today 2nd test ride of fz250 (simply superb- no nonsense bike - may be the 5 speed will be an issue on the highways) so my final decision is pending between 1.40L to 2.08L

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Personally I'm not a big fan of Thunderbird. Even when I bought FZ25, ppl used to suggest that I could have bought a RE! Being lean and medium height I always feel that I would not be able to take the vibes of RE. And also naked bikes please me more than classic ones. Anyways you decide by your heart, finally it's what you are happy about and like it!Originally posted by prashnagpal View PostMost probably this will be my buy, unless i opt for tb500.
Advance congratulations.....

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
yeah ppl enquire why i didnt get a bullet. if the himalayan was without issues i might have got that
By the way today i cleaned the drive chain with kerosene and then lubricated it with an O-ring chain lube. while riding it i felt as if the engine was lagging, as if something was holding her back. took her to the service centre and the mechanic told me to never use kerosene. he said something like this- the metal in the chain expands on kerosene application. then he tightened the chain. i think she ran ran better after that.
