Applying diesel is not recommended. It's totally their own discovery.

The wire is directly connected with the engine bro.

U r absolutely wrong bro. The Speedo wire is directly connected with the engine.

Tips to maintain your BEAST (FZ25). Also some suggestions for prospective buyers.

There r several fz25 owners in this group as well as outside who r bit worried abt few points. Being a proud owner of the same want to highlight few points -

                      1. In every new fz25 there's Head light issue. So just after buying the beast ask the service engineer to adjust the beam (if required).

                      2. Do not buy any accessories from the showroom as they charge much higher than outside for the same products. Like- seat cover, leg guard, ladies foot peg, grip cover, taflon coating (so called), etc. But do take the extended warranty by paying extra rs.777 (within 3 months from buying date).

                      3. 1000kms is the run in period for the beast. Try to maintain 4000-5000rpm during this period. Don't rev hard.

                      4. Do the 1st service around 1000kms and change the engine oil only provided by Yamaha. (Fully synthetic).
Also clean n insist to lube the chain by Motul c1 and c2.

                      5. Every 1000kms clean the chain with motul c1 and lube with c2. If not then use petrol/ diesel to clean the chain and then lube.

                      6. Maintain proper tyre Pressure. Front - 25 ps rear 29 ps. (Check every week).

                      7. Do not fit any electrical aftermarket accessories, cause this can void the warranty. Like - fog lights, indicators, horns etc.

                      8. Many people are complaining regarding engine oil leakage. This is a serious issue. I recently visited the showroom they said that due to the copper washers it is leaking. Those washers need to be tightened n if required need to be replaced.

                      9. The fuel tank capacity is 14 ltrs (theoretical). But It is actually less. 2.1 ltrs always we have to maintain as it is fuel injected. That means when the last fuel indicator bar will start blinking. Also there is no fuel knob.

                      10. The last but not the least it is not a sports / tourier byk do not treat this as Duke or Dominar. It's very powerful yet nimble byk for day to day commuting. With 40+ milege. The torque is well distributed among all gears. Easily it achieves 140 kmph speed.

                      Suggestions plz
