Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Found one more leak I think it is the oil filter cover although it not much but it seems Yamaha underestimated the Indian summer. Will get every leak looked at by next weekend apart from that engine is smooth but it does get little harsh after half an hour or so of riding I feel that is the right point to stop and let the engine cool till it is smooth again.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
That's very dissapointing. Yamaha need to relook for the gasket and washer supplier. Can understand that its new 250cc air cooled engine producing high heat synergising with summer and traffic condition but Yamaha must have tested these conditions. Lets wait patiently till engine settles down after run in.Originally posted by tankrunner10 View Post

And this leak also looking from copper washer, not from oil filter cover IMO.

engine is from a enduro bike called xt250 , there are no issues internationally. plua i dont think its a common defect, how many kms have you done till now?Originally posted by ankit.traveller View PostThat's very dissapointing. for harshness you can switch to motul 7100 or 300v also use xtra premium fuel from indian oil.As I gaze upon your beauty, I think to myself, "never have I seen an angel fly so low".

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
It might not be a design defect since it is used internationally but could be manufacturing defect when the bike is manufactured here in India.Originally posted by fusioncoast View Postengine is from a enduro bike called xt250 , there are no issues internationally. plua i dont think its a common defect, how many kms have you done till now?

It might be limited to just one batch or just one or two bikes who knows.
Yup will change to synthetic after breakin period but I also intend to change the engine oil at 400km mark with whatever mineral oil yamaha recommends since majority of tiny metal particles get added to the oil in the early stages of breakin and I dont want to wait till 1000km.

Yes fusioncoast....i know these oil leaks are small issues due to high heat which is expected due to air cooled 250cc engine. It will settle down once engine internal clearances will be set.Originally posted by fusioncoast View Postengine is from a enduro bike called xt250 , there are no issues internationally. plua i dont think its a common defect, how many kms have you done till now?

I have done till now 580 kms and using extra premium fuel. Will use FS oil after 3000km atleast.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Nothing much, it's there for quick snap back of the throttle slide. It's not a huge advantage per se, but it's just a push pull, mechanism, basically for safety. Though it adds a little visual treat looking complicated, it's just a simple addition that makes sure your throttle returns back as eagerly as you twist the throttle.Originally posted by Anunay View PostFz25 has similar dual throttle cable set up like FZ07. Anyone knows the advantage?
You have a small copper washers on all head bolts. In your case, since you've mentioned it's from the nut, it's clearly due to a faulty copper washer. Replace the copper washer torque it to the right spec and you're done. Considering it's not a valve cover gasket leak.Originally posted by Rajathrajk View Post
In my bike from that nut oil is leaking.
Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
This is a chassis mounting bolt and nut. During factory installation grease/paste is applied to it. Doesn't look like a leak from within the engine. Can see this kind of mark on all points where the engine meets the chassis, during first few 100kms.Originally posted by Rajathrajk View Post
