Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Hi Friends , Got my FZ 250 (Cyan blue) on Apr 29 and completed 370 Kms so far...completely happy with the vehicle styling, handling ,ergonomics and engine (so far rev with in 4500 RPM) everything is on higher limit...

But Definitely not happy with the headlamp illumination and range, obviously we are not expecting the HL performance inline with the tourer bikes but atleast it should be compatible with the commuting bikes, contacted Yamaha regarding this they are very responsible and patient enough to hear customer voice.
Explained enough regarding HL issue and what i expect from yamaha in terms of HL improvement. they assured that soon i will get a reply from technical team
..
but here i want to tell people that the design itself to be revisited for an improvement, for this smaller reflector size the number of LED should be more or the reflector design itself to be revised to improve the Illumination and range ,the challenge for yamaha is the new design should meet the class F3 requirement...
apart from this, yes i have the tapped noise but not worried too much it is normal to have and can be adjusted after 500kms...but it has to be monitored...

Get HL fixed from SC. After adjusting its bit better. No need to wait for first servicing.Originally posted by venkatmechanical.89 View PostHi Friends , Got my FZ 250 (Cyan blue) on Apr 29 and completed 370 Kms so far...completely happy with the vehicle styling, handling ,ergonomics and engine (so far rev with in 4500 RPM) everything is on higher limit...

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Ride Quality is definitely better than the 200NS by a good margin. Suspension is softer than the 200NS' which makes the bike glide over bad patch of roads quite smoothly.Originally posted by deebee View PostHi... since you're coming from a P200NS, how would you rate the FZ25's ride quality? Is it significantly better than the 200NS?
Also, does it bottom out on large speedbreakers/potholes?
I believe it even has setting to make it softer? May be someone else can throw light on this..Last edited by ramdante; 05-11-2017, 06:43 PM.

The rear suspension is 5 step adjustable. You can visit the service centre and adjust the same.Originally posted by ramdante View PostRide Quality is definitely better than the 200NS by a good margin. Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
You're right. And as I reiterated in my earlier post. Different manufacturers have different design parameters, some use the ABS sensor itself for speedometer, some use a separate sensor at or near the tranny, it just depends on the manufacturer. But, do post some pics of the sensor of the bike, if you can. It might be helpful for many users who have a similar query and would want to know where their sensor is.Originally posted by Kirankarunan View PostThanks for that info. I see some cables go out near the counter shaft sprocket. Will have a look at the wiring diagram and see. On a ninja 300 there is a sensor which sits parallel to the drive sprocket. Not so in the FZ 25.
You can check out this thread for more information regarding PDI for almost all motorcycles.Originally posted by Harrisoncool View PostAny one help me find the PDI check list for FZ25 please . ..
After receiving quite a number of PDI queries on numerous ownership threads, I've decided to amalgamate my experience, articles, snippets from different sources, from around the web into a single concise article, for folks who are getting their first two-wheeler. This post is not just limited to motorcycles, but should serve as
Though FZ 250 specific PDI details, owners can point to it, but generally inspecting the bike for anything suspicious, i.e. oil leaks, blaring or unnecessary panel gaps, or electrical malfunction, is a good practice.
Cheers!

The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

That's tank range , it will come as you hit reserve.Originally posted by Mani_K View PostDid anyone notice this?
I was riding on trip 2, just as the last fuel bar started blinking. The display automatically switched to TRIP F and started a new reading.
Once I filled up fuel and restarted the bike, it switched back to Trip 2.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
I dont know but for some reason the oil leak seems to have disappeared
even the oil leak near the starter motor.
I had cleaned the area where oil had leaked with a cloth 100kms later that area is still clean no sign of oil
will still wait and see if the oil leak reoccures
Still at 500km mark cant wait for the breakin period to get over.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
I felt the ride to be a bit tedious too, then I checked the rear tyre pressure was too low. Filled it up to 29 psi as mentioned and now it's much better, even without any adjustments to the rear shock.Originally posted by ramdante View PostRide Quality is definitely better than the 200NS by a good margin. Well that's a relief, so I can be sure of not having missed noticing the fuel gauge.Originally posted by chakresh View PostThat's tank range , it will come as you hit reserve.
