Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
You should get bike checked. It should rev freely and go over 60 with ease. Heat shouldnt be too much either especially at high speeds.Originally posted by Atul Chirame View PostFew problems I am experiencing,
1. My hand is paining after driving almost 15km every time. ( driving more than a week)
2. I feel lots of heat at my legs
3. I cant get speed more than 60 km, is it purposefully done ?
Anyone experiencing same ?
Your hands are paining on this bike? If you cant adjust to it get a car, i would suggest.
Ninja in lime green colour is on extreme end of things. Along with new dukes in orange. R3 wouldnt attract as much attention but one i saw on road everyone was noticing cause exhaust note and much bigger stance.Originally posted by Dovahkiin View PostWell I personally never thought that R15 should attract any extra attention. In fact I remember one R3 owner mention that he switched from Ninja 300 to R3 because people gave less attention to it (because it looked a little bit like R15)
Personally i would say that as long as the bike is in a discreet color (like black...noticed a white Fz250 almost instantly while riding a few days back) and doesnt have too loud or sweet of an exhaust note most people wont notice it while riding. While parked well the led lights might draw some attention but not by much. You could ensure that the bike is safely parked at least most of the time. Also in large cities like Bangalore even bikes like this dont remain exclusive for too long.
Among the 250cc bikes this one should draw less attention than CBR250 or the duke 250 for example. Owners should be able to tell you more.
I live in Gurgaon and r15 is not exclusive by any means. Still attracts attention that i can do without.

Hi Atul please get the bike checked at your service centre for heat and speed issues use the bike for a month if the pain still persists iOriginally posted by Atul Chirame View PostFew problems I am experiencing,

will suggest raise the handlebars a bit with handle bar raisers a good mechanic should be able to guide you with that as the fz handle bars are set low it cause pain to some people, NO NEED TO SELL THIS BEAUTIFUL MACHINE

Hi Ashwin,Originally posted by ashwinjoze View PostHi Manish,
Congratulations on your ride!
I will soon be booking FZ25. I would like to know your experience during night rides as I heard the performance of the LED head light is not something extra-ordinary.
I ride mostly in the city, where oncoming drivers don't even think about dimming their headlights. I later thought of installing Auxilary LED Spot/Fog lights, but as it voids the Electrical warranty, I cant do that too.
Will you be able to give your inputs, so that I can narrow down my decision?
Ride Safe,
Ashwin
I would not say the headlights are the best but better than halogens. I always keep changing my mind about the headlights. Yesterday, I had lot of on-coming traffic and my headlights were shit. Could not see the light on the road. The high beam needs to be adjusted. On-coming traffic will switch to low beam once this is done. Even I am thinking of installing aux leds from Cree but maybe at a later point of time.
The headlight spread is not that great. Would never compare these with the Dominar or the D390 but well for the price you pay, you get a sweet deal.
Few more things,
My engine is stalling randomly. I need to get the idle rpm adjusted perhaps or maybe there could be some other issue. The idle adjustment screw is very weird. You need a spanner to do that.
Engine heat was initially there but it has reduced a lot now. I used to feel it more in heavy traffic but nowadays I feel it is fine.
The gears are becoming smooth gradually. The clutch needs adjustment.
First service is due in few days. Done 700 KMS till now.
Cheers

I find it strange that a bike with FI is stalling due to idling speed.Originally posted by manish197 View PostHi Ashwin,

In my opinion idling speed change etc should not be tinkered for this bike like you do for other carbureted bikes.
Is the fuel quality good?

Not sure. Have to fill in a different fuel station next time. Btw how do I figure out if the fuel is BS4 or BS3 type?Originally posted by JLS View PostI find it strange that a bike with FI is stalling due to idling speed.
