Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
The new 2017 650 is total VFM, the model before this where really weren't that good when you are paying such a huge price. Overall the 650 is a all rounder and good combo but if you take small bits, it might turn out be something elseOriginally posted by VaibhavPisal View PostLeh,Ladakh & Lahaul Ride to Heaven & Back - http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/tourer/1...aven-back.html

Please advise me fuel consumption figure , how much you are getting from your FZ25 , I think Yamaha bikes are bad in fuel consumption. Your experience will be helpful to many person who are undecided which bike should they purchase.vijay super-1981,vespa1984,herohonda1988,herohondasleek1989,su zuki shaolin1994,herohondacbz2000,suzukiferro2000,honda unicorn2004,kawasaki-bajaj eliminator2005,rtr1802010

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
If fuel consumption is the only matter ..then start looking for anything in 100 cc segment , because anything in the 200 plus segment will give you anything around the 40 kmpl mark.Originally posted by bhadoriabtp View PostPlease advise me fuel consumption figure , how much you are getting from your FZ25 , I think Yamaha bikes are bad in fuel consumption. FZ 25 is giving the best mileage in 250cc segment.Originally posted by bhadoriabtp View PostPlease advise me fuel consumption figure , how much you are getting from your FZ25 , I think Yamaha bikes are bad in fuel consumption. If mileage is ur priority then u should chose 100-150 cc bikes.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
You Sir, are the man I am looking for.Originally posted by n4speed View PostI had done 40k KMs and 3.5years on the Duke. I was done with all the fun on the Duke. I wanted a change which would help me commute and tour. With FZ25, with better fuel tank, Better pillion seat, LED headlamps, Yamaha's quality and Reliability, relaxed engine with decent touring speed of 100. And also the affordable pricing.
Duke was more about the power, aggressive seating position, to go crazy on the curves and hooliganism which comes free with the bike.
Depends what your purpose of the owning that Bike, since I already owned the Duke, I didn't think of 2017 Duke 390. But for you who owns a Karizma, the New Duke would be awesome if the budget allows. Because it has so many features but these features will set you apart from the Karizma. You will go crazy coming from Karizma to Duke. You won't be much amazed with FZ25 even though it has it own merits.
I own a karizma and I am looking for other machine now. With duke 390, I am concerned about quality (hassle free ownership), the smoothness of the engine and a little bit light on the mileage figures. My karizma gives me between 30-35kmpl.
With Fz, I am only thinking about its light throw in night. I am using Philips xtreme power (60W) lamp in my karizma presently.
Hoping to listen soon from you. Will make my decision by weekend. I can't test ride fz 25 and duke 390 as they are not available for test ride in Ahmedabad.

Read in this thread, an xBHP member from Pune was also refused to be given test ride. He mailed to the company & next day he got calls from 2 dealers for the Test drive.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
The Headlight is just okay and not a big deal. However it's too low for my need. The beam just needs to slighty higher. It perfect for highway and street use. The spread is not wide though. Since it's white light, the illumination of the lit up area is 100% and crisp. My Duke 390 had Philips Xtreme night vision which had wider and taller throw. If you adjust the angle of the headlamp in FZ, it won't be a problemOriginally posted by sauravalwaysurs View PostYou Sir, are the man I am looking for.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Yes, Thanks for answering that ; Reason I compared FZ16 with FZ25 is that both have a 5 gear transmission and I was looking for a way to compare and isolate the engine power boost that someone upgrading from FZ16 to FZ25 might feel. I get your point though , it all has to do with gearing ratios.Originally posted by IamAditya View PostIts all upto the gearing (gear ratios).
CBR250 has 22.# torque and 26ps power FZ25 has 20nm torque and 20.9ps power
Both bike does 100kmph @ 6.3k RPM.
NOTE: CBR250 has 6 gear and Fz25 has only 5.
[emoji51] hope its clear.
Cheers.
May be one test drive of FZ25 would answer all the questions my mind has right now.
Originally posted by ALI.R View PostI owned A FZ16 too which did similar numbers at stock (85kmph at 6500RPM) and 90kmph at 6000 RPM with a 15t front sprocket.
So if the Fz25 is doing 100kmph at around 6200RPM then I'd say it'll make for rather handy tourer as the engine won't be too stressed at those revs.
Yes , hence would be the reason for the advertised mileage figures ; this one is going to be one hell of a tourer that would be very comfortable with both city and highway traffic.

I went there on Sunday before holi, they just recieved one bike, I saw them unloading it from truck. They also gave me a very short ride. I don't understand the policy of not giving the test rides. Did you try Global Yamaha Navrangpura?Originally posted by sauravalwaysurs View PostThank You for suggestions. I will definitely mail/call them.
