For highway cruising NS will be a better option than rtr200 and fz25 also.
It is myth that liquid cooling and 6th gear really important factor for highway cruising. I have done lucknow delhi 550 kms many times on my zma on YEW and lucknow agra expressway mostly at speeds of 100-110 kmph continously for long time in summers. It depends on the character of engine, of course you need other cooling aid for engine when you have 3 holes in combustion chamber and revving high and producing around 24 bhp from just 200cc engine. That is why a term called "relaxed engine" which fz has.

There are other factors also for highway cruising like comfort, reliability, wind protection (only above 110kmph), feel of torque and stress free engine etc etc. Every bike have USPs but ot depends on how a person feels that this USP is justfying him or not.

All 3 ns, fz and rtr are great and have a place in market at their respective price point.

Fz spec sheet is mis leading. Thats a fact. Rest is all subjective which bike you prefer.

Liquid is not a myth,if so then cars don't need it.

And for riding above 100kmph, obviously NS is better.

Like FZ25 NS doesn't have vibes post 7k RPM, thats the sweet spot on NS.

The biggest myth said is that Japs are highly reliable, biggest myth EVER!

Does anyone else have exposed wiring on the exhaust sensor? I am worried about the wires getting damaged while on road.

Asked the service center guys to cover it with a cover, but they said that it cannot be done.

Yes it is a concern little bit, i have seen in all fz25 in showroom. Thats o2 sensor. You can cover exposed wire by roll of electrical tape.

I'd accept your argument if it were 2015. But it's not. What's the point of liquid cooling if the engine still vibrates/heats up more than the oil /air cooled ones on the RTR and the FZ.

Let's be frank here, the RTR and the Fz25 have taken the game to the next level. Both offer better refinement, build quality, better tyre options, better suspensions and ride quality. Moreover RTR handles better, corners better, has a far better and modern console. The FZ offers Fuel Injection, bigger tank and and its a Yamaha.

Talking about cruising, all three can cruise at 100-110 all day long. Beyond those speeds, it's less of cruising and more of speeding, and asking for a lot of trouble in the riding conditions that exist in our country. The gearing on the RTR and the FZ compensate adequately for the lack of a 6th gear.

The NS was a class leader and set a benchmark in providing affordable performance to enthusiasts no doubt. But it's time has passed and no amount of Laser edging will change that.

Oh, and the Japs are indeed the most reliable and no amount of counter arguing will change that.

-Cars have multiple cylinders, high cc, high torque, engine in closed area so producing very high heat so required liquid cooling.

                  - NS is better sure but until shoulder, wrist and back are in comfort zone.

                  - every high power single cylinder engine have vibes at some rpm range.

                  - of course japs cars and bikes are world famous for their reliability but that doesn't mean other bikes are not reliable.

I have never owned yamaha bikes before. So am not biased.

Rtr200 handles in corners better stiffer suspension dats it.
Ride NS for sometime, the chassy balance one of the best in the business.
And rtr200 doesn't compete with 200ns because its specs are just similar to Pulsars 220.

                    And rtr200 very rare here

                    And the refinement?
                    Realy?are you sure.?

Both fz and Rtr200 are buzzier at higher revs ,not just higher just above upper midrange i.e 7k RPM., thats the sweet spot of 200NS.
Must ride the 2017 NS, you may say that its refined than your rtr200. [emoji4]

Hilarious posts, each guy feels his bike is best. Each guy believes his bike offers the best speed, bikes which have lesser speed are underpowered, bikes which have more speed are not needed. This song and dance has been around since the days of the Kinetic Honda, keep a lid on it please, you're giving our mods extra work.

You itself said that you avoided ninja for just extra top speed, but it was a differnt bike altogether.

Yes, I didn't buy the ninja 250r because I felt it wasn't worth the money, purely due to local manufacturing. It was a cost vs performance financial calculation.

But do I go around bashing the Ninja250, or spam other threads on how great the CBR 250 is? No. Do I declare that 160+ speeds are dangerous for Indian roads just because my bike can't do it? No.

Yamaha guys should have thrown ABS as an option for FZ25 at least. many are including me are shying away from FZ25 because of non-abs
