Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Haven't joined or heard any of those. Actually months ago joined in WhatsApp group for R15. Found most of them to be school/college kids discussing & yelling at each other. So I refrain myself from any WhatsApp groups.Originally posted by vinay.gollapudi View PostNice to hear that. Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Correctly said abt head light assembly vibration. it becomes more evident when i pull the beyond 4000 rpm in 3rd gear,Originally posted by Anunay View PostGears are little hard to downshift, but slowly becoming smooth.
Brakes do not give you feel of instant bite, you wont feel instant grab of brake pads, but they are working and makes you stop where you want. As I said, its bybre like duke 390/200. Rear one is like R15 (nissin unit) and does its job. Pillion had a complain of height being much but comfortable.
There is problem of slight headlight assembly vibration on uneven roads. Its not serious but its not there on fz16. Need to check with service.

Also, did anyone from bangalore got their bike registered? I am presently on TR

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Booked bike on 1st April, got it delivered on 2nd April. ( vijaylaxmi showroom, wagholi, Pune, Maharashtra) Wow
Color : white ( truly its worrier white)
on-road price - 1.36L
Km driven : 80km so far
Average : 31 ( it doesn't matter for me, anything above 30 is fine, common you are riding 250cc not 150cc)
Controls : 10 out 10
It's just amazing bike. Eye catcher on road, everybody will inquire you about bike.
It's very handy in city traffic conditions. ( surely will rock on highways)
You will pass 99% any other vehicles like passing pedestrian.
I read lots of doubts about headlight. Focus is fair enough to drive at night( not comparing with any other bike, buying bike not torch

).
Gears are hard at this time and surely will be smooth after first servicing. ( Same happened with my friend's fz s)
I felt pain in my hands for first 3 days due to driving, but now I am comfortable. May be it's just a case of habit.
I bet Pavilion seat is most comfortable in 250cc segment.
Simple funda,
If you love this bike - don't wait, go and buy, this machine will not let you down for sure.Last edited by Atul Chirame; 04-06-2017, 01:16 PM.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
There is a hole on the left(or right maybe) side of the headlight assembly. A small gear should be visible inside. rotating the gear upwards with a small screw driver should raise the high beam.Originally posted by Anunay View PostDone with first service.
-Hi-Beam need to be raised. Service guys forgot, so did I. Please let me know how to adjust beam if anyone has done it.
I too finished my first service yesterday. Cost was 990 for the oil and 167 for the oil filter.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Is there anything mentioned in the manual about the injector cleaning interval??Originally posted by Anunay View PostDone with first service.
Cost is Rs990 at Torcente motors Bangalore. The guys are generous with fair amount of experience, no rush at service centre.
-Oil and oil filter change and other consumables.
-Adjusted tappets
-900 km on ODO
-Got diagnostic test report of the bike along with bill.
-Hi-Beam need to be raised. Service guys forgot, so did I. Please let me know how to adjust beam if anyone has done it.

I heard that they should be cleaned at every 5k kms

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Hi,Originally posted by ankit.traveller View PostThanks..White color will be delivered by 10th. Its strange that no company approved leg guard is available in any showroom.
Dont know about pune, in Lucknow its 1.39 on road without waiting period. I opted for white color which was sold a day before so have to wait till 10th.
Did you test rode Apache 200, from the specs sheet both the bikes looks similar. What is the advantage of FZ25 over Apache 200?

Yes I test rode rtr200.Originally posted by Mandar_C500 View PostHi,

Advantage over rtr-
1. 50 cc more (it matters for touring)
2. High torque @ low rpm range, relaxed engine
3. Closed loop fuel injection
4. More comfortable riding posture
5. More stable at 100kmph+
6. Better head light than rtr
7. Exhaust not also soothing compared to bassy rtr exhaust note which can tire you during long distance.
Actually if RTR comes with fi and abs then only its more vfm compared to fz. Right now fz seems to be more vfm as per my requirements.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Yamaha engines are probably the best among the motorcycles available in India (would say the older Hondas come close). It would certainly be more reliable than the dominar 400. Not sure about the comfort on Fz25 since i have not rode it, but the reviews are positive. Have rode the FZv2 and expect the ride quality to be on similar lines.Originally posted by bhadoriabtp View PostRecently I purchased a Dominor 400 no. HR 26 DR 7797 but this mini super bike is not good for market and daily use so I am thinking of FZ25 . I have never purchased any Yamaha bike so I have many doubts about engine quality, riders comfort, I use for comfort so bikes which needs bending are not good such as Yamaha R15 , Honda 250 bike . Some people may maintain four wifes I may try to have a good bike .

Fz is 2 seconds faster in 0-100 times compared to rtr. I have not ridden rtr but have extensively ridden pulsar 200 ns.Originally posted by Mandar_C500 View PostHi,

Between Ns and fz there is no competition as far as sensation of power is concerned. Fz is similar to cbr250r in terms of power delivery. You should test ride it i would suggest and ignore the spec sheet.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
I would recommend you test ride a RTR. It has effectively rendered the NS obsolete IMHO. And in any case those extra 1or 2 seconds worth of better acceleration will only be of use on a race track and nowhere else in real world riding conditions. TVS have done a ridiculously good job on this motorcycle.Originally posted by VaibhavPisal View PostFz is 2 seconds faster in 0-100 times compared to rtr. Having ridden all three (FZ25, NS, RTR 200) and having owned the smaller FZ for a long time, I'd say that the RTR is the best VFM proposition.

Rtr200 vs 200ns like gixxer sf vs r15 in performance.Originally posted by ALI.R View PostI would recommend you test ride a RTR. It has effectively rendered the NS obsolete IMHO. There is no vfm for rtr200 over 200ns.
NS offers 6th gear and liquid cooling, any day better for highway cruising.
For highway cruising NS will be a better option than rtr200 and fz25 also.Last edited by IamAditya; 04-06-2017, 05:38 PM.
