Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
This issue should not discourage you in getting the bike for yourself. Adjusting the headlight will really make it usable . I never felt the need of any extra/auxiliary lights till now. Get the bike and you will not regret. It takes some time for us to get used to the white light when we move from using conventional yellow lights. But once we get adjusted to it, it will be the best to use.Originally posted by ashwinjoze View Post

As i said I never felt the need of more intense light or any auxiliary lights. Please be careful if you are interested in changing LEDs. This will void the electrical warranty of the bike. This being FI, there are lots of electrical and electronic systems working on the bike. You don't want to mess up with them.Originally posted by ankit.traveller View Post

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
I am surprised that you have changed chain twice in 17K km. I have used my first set of chain for 32K KM and second is going strong after 15K KM. No special care of chain except lubing after 500 KM and cleaning at 3K KM.Originally posted by jithu4vrindavanam View PostI sold ma tb350 coz of maintenance....its too costly to maintain...changed chain and ball raiser 2 tyms within 17000 kms...nw owner of fz25...its gvng me more cmfrt dan tb...tb has a gud seating posture...bt d suspnsn is really horrible..
P.S. Sorry for the OT, but couldn't resist.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Anyways it is not a concern for me, if I can manage with zma poor headlight. In city limits there is absolutely no complaint and concern area is during tours, well I avoid night riding 99% time during tours.Originally posted by NikhilBharadwaj View PostYes Ankit. Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
I think you are the first member who has complained about overheating thus far.. It doesn't sound right, especially when you only rode it for 3 to 4 kms..Originally posted by devilnash99 View PostOne issue I faced was that the engine gets heated after some 3 or 4 kms of riding in Bangalore traffic.
I checked with the showroom guys regarding this and they said nothing to worry and it may take few days for the engine to get set up.
So wanted to know if anyone else also faced this heating issue near the footpegs.
Anyway, as the svc guy said, keep a check on it for a few hundred kms and see if it passes.. Post some updates on the same later..

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
I observed this heating first time when I was travelling to office which is about 11 kms commute. So the heating starts after the first 3 or 4 km is what I meant above.Originally posted by ramdante View PostI think you are the first member who has complained about overheating thus far.. More nerve-wracking was that I got a smell of something burning which made me go to the SVC guy immediately.
As you said, I seem to be the only one who has faced this till now so wanted to know if I should get it checked in the beginning itself.
The ODO is showing around 60+kms now and the heating has marginally reduced compared to the first ride.
Let's see

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
This guy is running in his engine. It would obviously heat up more, when I was running in my liquid cooled CBR 250, I felt uncomfortable with the level of heat, every time I gave throttle, I felt like sparks were hitting my feet, that's how much heat I had.Originally posted by ramdante View PostI think you are the first member who has complained about overheating thus far.. As long as the engine temperature gauge shows normal, it's normal. Don't worry about it unless you see smoke or flames.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Smell of something burning is probably due to the paint getting burnt or 'cured' on the engine and related parts. After a prolonged top speed run, you may also smell oil burning. As long as nothing is leaking or smoking, and no extra engine noise is heard, it's not a big deal.Originally posted by devilnash99 View PostI observed this heating first time when I was travelling to office which is about 11 kms commute. Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Yes, you are right about the heating, but nothing to worry about as it is in the break in period. My ride too gets quite hot but nothing unbearable.Originally posted by devilnash99 View PostI too got my FZ25 on Sunday. As you mentioned above, the throttle response is unbelievable and it takes all the control in my head to not rev madly during the break in period

P.S :- I bought my beast at Anurag Motors, Bull temple road, Bangalore.
This is one of the few showrooms which is providing a Test Drive in Bangalore as far as I was able to check.
I am also facing heating issue. I got trapped in very bad traffic block in pune, 2 days back. I felt lots of heat at my left leg.
Maybe after servicing such kind of issue will be minimized. (210 km completed so far)
About look of bike : Look and design of the bike is such a amazing, I saw lots of guys turning heads, slowing down their bikes just to check out bike.
God I have made great choice indeed.Last edited by Atul Chirame; 04-12-2017, 03:24 PM.

Regarding heating... it is common in new bikes. I had it too on my fz25. It is fine now. Have clocked abt 700 kmsOriginally posted by Atul Chirame View PostI am also facing heating issue. I got trapped in very bad traffic block in pune, 2 days back. I felt lots of heat at my left leg.
