So today went to Adarsh Yamaha in Okhla Phase II with some hope of getting the problem fixed.

After arriving the security immediately pointed me to the concerned technician with whom I had a lengthy talk explaining the issue. The technician was very patient and considerate, and listened to all my problems while drafting the job card. I was pleasantly surprised after the horrific experience i had in the Gurgaon SVC.

After the bike had cooled down enough, the bike was taken into a bay and the valve clearence was checked. The valve clearance was indeed off in both the valves and the technician did the necessary adjustments to make sure the clearance is under spec. Meanwhile he also spotted a number of glaring omissions that were made in the first service and rectified them such as greasing of the cables and regapping of the spark plugs. They even added chain clean and lube as compensation for all the troubles that i went through!

I was impressed with the manner they handled my problem which i had been suffering for the last 1 week. I personally thanked the engineer at the workshop for the professionalism and patience that was shown by the staff.

And what about the sound you say? Is it still there or not?

It's gone to a large extent. The engine is much smoother and that 'torque wave' feeling is back.

People of Delhi, Adarsh Yamaha in Okhla Phase II is the place to go if you have any problems in the bike. They'll probably have my business for all the services coming up.

I'll try uploading another video after the adjustment.Peace [emoji1280]️

I am having a typical smell after my rides. My Pulsar used to have this same kind of smell. Can anyone tell me the reason!

That was fast! Hopefully the cowl parts becomes available soon. Need that bottom engine cowl for my beast, to complete its looks!

That can be due to the burning of cat con in new exhaust. After clocking some more miles that smell will go off.

It's good that some one heard your problem and rectified it.

But personally I feel that even after valve Clearance setting that issue is not completely eradicated. I suspect the timing chain tensioner as well. At times especially going past 5500 rpm and when we come down that pinking noise will arise and after some time it will settle down.

But personally after riding 1500 kms I am not greatly impressed with the engine, had better hope in engine refinement as this particular engine is very famous in XT 250 , but it's a big let down from yamaha localising and screwed the engine performance.
Not only this even their mass commuter saluto has such niggles. It clearly shows the parts quality are letting it down.

Two months back at 1300kms I replaced entire engine head component just because of coin rattling noise issue but even with new engine head this coin rattling remains. Till now I have done 2.9k kms and honestly speaking there is no loss of performance/overheating/loss of power except rattling noise. Happy with engine performance.☺

I think it's character of the engine.

I have done over 2.5k kms. I used to own a karizma before fz25. Fz has good torque, but I feel that touching speed of 100 and staying above 100 is not as easy as it seemed karizma may be because of wind blast. Also, karizma seemed smoother up to 100-105 kmph. I dunno if its just my bike or it is same with other bikes as well. I am just done with second service. I can still hear some little kit kit sound from engine at neutral. SVC guys say that it is normal sound in all bikes.

Same here being a karizma owner, its loud exhaust which makes difference in ride quality above 100 compared to zma.

I'm close to 2.5K Kms and haven't done my second service yet, I felt lots of strain going past 70kmph and after discussing it here, i asked my svc guys to check the valve clearence. They said they adjusted it but still i can feel stress going past 70. Bike reaches 80-100 quickly but you can feel that stress. I'm looking for someone here at Cochin to ride their bike just to compare with mine. If there's anyone, please let me know!

                                Hi,

I have got my bike delivered on 14th August. But the bike is pending for registration. And the dealer is saying nothing is pending at their end and it is the process form RTO that is taking so much time. So it will take minimum next week to get the registration done. Anyone from Navi Mumbai who can validate this.
