Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Yesterday I was parking my bike on road side. I picked the side stand and noticed traffic from behind. So I tried to push the bike sitting on it. Accidentally I stepped on a piece of sunmika and lost grip on ground as the sunmika slipped instantly. It was like my left leg was totally in air and I was falling down with the bike. However with God's grace the bike landed safely as the side stand was on. I have completed only 950 kms and the bike has not yet completed running in. Plus I don't have leg guard on the bike. Was sure for a major damage to the bike as well as me. This has happened first time in 15 years of biking. I was shocked at the moment. Guys always look down while parking your bike. Safe riding !

The user manual says that once in every 6k KMS we have to check and clean the fi system....Originally posted by niharx View PostIs it required to get my fuel injectors cleaned after 5000 km ,currently service centers in my area doesnt have the tech to check FI .

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
I am from Pune, and bought this beast 3 month ago. As per me following are the pro and cons ( Strictly based on my observation)Originally posted by raahul11 View PostAnyone from Ahmednagar, Maharastra? I'm planning to purchase this beauty in a week or so and need your suggestions.
Pros:
1. Awesome powerful engine. Low end performance is terrific.
2. Super torque, so no need to change gear all the time in city traffic
3. Amazing milage ( Getting 38.8 kmpl in pune. I am travelling to most traffic loaded area in Pune Hinjewadi to Hadpsar still getting such milage)
4. Looks.. it looks beefy spectacular, and not flashy at all. ( Looks are subjective
)
5. Perfect ride and handling. Rear tyre is huge and stick to road like leech.
6. Suspension setup is so nice that you hardly get bump. Ride is smooth and comfortable.
Cons:
1. No 6th gear. Badly miss 6th gear on highway
2. Instrument cluster is too basic. Sometime I feel even fz16 has better console
3. Rear view mirror vibrates lots after 75kmph.. its almost unusable
4. Sometime my hand start paining in traffic while riding in traffic. Changed seating postion but still it hurts.
5. Headlight .. Yes it is weak. Brightness getting from stock headlight is not good.
But I am happy with my purchase, so there are hardly any big fault in this beast.. hope this helps !!

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Dear fellow riders, is it possible to turn off the instrument cluster of FZ25? I saw few videos on YouTube where they were offered test rides and the cluster was not working
This might happen with any showroom and they might sell the same bike afterwards.... I'm just concerned what if I get such a bike, as we know how many people drive in TR.
Any way to identify it?
Riding is not just a skill, it's an attitude

Normally showroom use registered bike as TD motorcycle.
As per my knowledge the only way to identify it is by checking during PDI. Especially parts which wear i.e, tyre, foot pegs, brake disk, brake pads etc. At last, we can check month of manufacturing on a OEM form (used for registration).

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
I don't have any shaded parking area in and around my office. The bike gets exposed to rain every other evening. Today morning I noticed water droplets around the fuel filling hole when I opened the cap of the fuel tank. The cap does has a rubber sealing where it fits with the hole but even that had droplets. Is this ok?. I am worried if water has seeped into the fuel tank.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
I don't think that should be a problem. Yamaha must have done testing for this too. Having said that, try to keep your babe shaded.Originally posted by Joe29 View PostI don't have any shaded parking area in and around my office. The bike gets exposed to rain every other evening.
