Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Dear fellow riders,
Has anyone any good design for rim stickers?

I'm planning to apply one of the above designs, 80 degrees of a span for each and 2 numbers on each side of the rim (opposite to each other), probably in same ballistic blue color or white color.
Please suggest any new ideas or improvements for the same.
P.S. I'm a proud owner of ballistic blue babe.
Riding is not just a skill, it's an attitude

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Quick update on my FZ 250.
- Completed close to 7000 kms in 6 months and completed 2nd service with bill amount around 950/-.
- Chain cleaning is done with diesel and lube with Motul. Could not get my hands on Cyclo chain lube yet.
- Noticed minor rusting at center stand pivot near rear brake pedal. grease should help a bit.
- 2nd service done with in an hour to my satisfaction. Just basic service with thorough wash.
- Headlight is good enough for city and its pretty bright in dark roads unless you have some one from opposite direction with high beams.
- There is slight tappet sound after run in heavy traffic or hot engine. This is generally there ins 2 valve engines, but will have it checked with good mechanic. My fundamental is to never have engine touched by any mechanic unless its worrying problem.
- Even under heavy traffic, there is hardly any heat developed in the engine.
- Gear shifts have become perfectly smooth and engine is well refined.
Another interesting thing noticed post 2nd service is the steady increase in the mileage. Generally I get between 39-40 kmpl, but now I am getting above 41 kmpl consistently and 43 kmpl in one case. Mine is 100% city usage with daily commute of 56 kms.

General fuel quality issue. Worst case fuel pump issue. Check after next refill.Originally posted by ankit.traveller View PostI am feeling little jerks after steady throttle input in very slow speed in hot and cold engine both. No jerks in hard throttle though. Started since 2-3 days only. I think fuel quality may be the culprit. Anyone else faced this issue?2007 - Hero Honda CBZ Xtreme

Clean air filter first. That’s the first thing which causes jerks.Originally posted by ankit.traveller View PostI am feeling little jerks after steady throttle input in very slow speed in hot and cold engine both. Clogged or slightly humid air filter reduces air supply to engine which causes jerking.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Would like to know one thing, when you slow down, say from about 80 kph to about 40 kph quickly, if you try to rev hard again, especially in 5th gear, is there a slight jerk (due to torque lag) from the chain before it pulls again?Originally posted by riazmomin View PostQuick update on my FZ 250.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
My fz25 stays in an open space from about 9 am to about 6:00 pm. Considering I'm from Guwahati and it gets dark very early here, there is heavy dew on my bike by the time I'm back. On top of that, it's starting to get cold by 6 pm itself. Taking both dew and temperature into factor, should i be worried/indifferent?

Hey, I'm facing the same thing too? Where are you from? I guess we could blame it to cold temperatures.Originally posted by ankit.traveller View PostI am feeling little jerks after steady throttle input in very slow speed in hot and cold engine both. There is no drop in mielage and pickup which is directly proportional to air filter condition. I will check air filter though.Originally posted by kris123456 View PostClean air filter first. That’s the first thing which causes jerks.

I am from lucknow. Jerks happening in hot engine also but sometime only.Originally posted by JyotishmanS View PostHey, I'm facing the same thing too? Where are you from? I guess we could blame it to cold temperatures.

Nothing to worry as fas as engine is concerned. Temp and air pressure sensors in fi will take care of this.Originally posted by JyotishmanS View PostMy fz25 stays in an open space from about 9 am to about 6:00 pm. Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Has anyone faced any loss in power before first service?. I have clocked close to 750 Kms on the ODO so far and the only out of place thing I felt is the Tappet noise. I am wondering if that is the reason for a drop in performance. It is not a drastic change but noticeable enough especially on slopes or with a pillion.

Power loss ? no absolutely not
it is natural to feel (power loss type of thing ) when going in slopes or with a pillion in almost every bike, because the engine will be operating on additional loads.
