They have mentioned the viscosity grade and also the grade that is recommended ...

Someone here had said that manual says use mineral oil. So I checked. But manual doesn't specify type of oil. Only the grade.

So maybe mineral oil is suited for this bike but Yamaha makes money by framing it as fully synthetic.

Even yamalube its synthetic only ... its not a mineral oil. If mineral oil is needed they can prefer MAK.

I was the one who said it. My bad. 🙃

Guys. Synthetic is not a grade. It’s a qualifier. JASO is the grade.

Bro, do you have fazer 25 workshop manual?? Can you procure a copy for me bud? Interested in sprocket size and final drive ratio of fazer 25. There seems to be some differences.

• How to start the bike?

One thing I noticed, if we follow "Kill switch ON>Ignition ON", I can hear the sound of some pump (might be the FI system). But if I reverse the sequence to "Ignition ON>Kill Switch ON" the sound is absent.

Can you guys please throw some light on the point and pros and cons of each method, this is the first time I am using a FI bike.

Apart from time for ignition sustainability there won't be any difference. The time difference are just a couple of seconds. Either of method doesn't matter in real time condition.

But why it is that sound is audible in only one of the methods and not in the other one?

2nd service update (4600 kms)

Things done:-
1. engine oil change
2. oil filter change
3. air filter cleaned
4. chain slack checked & rectified
5. brake fluid top-up
6. Fi system checked & rectified

How it feels now:-
The engine is more refined than before.
There are some vibrations which used to creep in at 75-85kmph has been reduced (not gone completely)(vibration intensity is very low before , now its much less).
Checked FI system & some problems found then they tweaked something for 10-20 min then it showed green signal on diagnostics application.
There is some noise from rear side of bike when going through bad bouncy roads now thats gone.
Rear disc brake feedback reduced , dont know why this happened but still manageable .
Cannot comment on mileage as its too early to judge.
Top speed checked after service 143kmph.

Note:-
I was standing near the svc mechanics & watching nearly everything for 90 min.(everyone will say you to sit inside dont listen to them else your engine oil & petrol will go kaboom )
also take additional engine oil(150ml approx) with you.

Nice...but 30bhp vs 21bhp not fair.[emoji14]

Thanks chidafn for reminding that. Anyway I'm going to replace the rear view mirrors. Planning to go with Honda Hornet ones..not yet decided. Any better ones?

Could you please explain what they rectified in fi diagnostics? Did the updated ecu software?

When kill switch is on, fuel is primed initially. so pressurised fuel is available immediately and bike is start up quick.
When kill switch in off initially, fuel is primed along with starter. Priming sound will be there too, but it'll be masked by noise from starter/engine.
