Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
I don't think it's a fuel-related issue. But thanks for the suggestion .Originally posted by ankit.traveller View PostI suggest you to try fill petrol other than your regular pump. Seems like poor quality fuel issue.

My thoughts too. I've already asked the SVC to check the bike thoroughly. Hopefully, it's just some bad valves and a blocked injector. Anything more serious and I'm having them replace the engine and the transmission. They didn't fix it when I had brought it to their notice during the first service, and I have written proof to show that.Originally posted by Ijs View PostAlso would like to suggest injector cleaning and throttle body checkup, also the chain and clutch lever play adjustment done. Along with valve clearance.

Check your throttle body & fi ,simple fi diagnostics will tell if there is some issue with fi.Originally posted by numa97 View PostAre you sure about the 'ride hard and ignore' part? My FZ has lost some power after 4500km on the odo. In fact, the loss is so easily noticeable, the SVC mechanics did not give me any BS after they tried the bike. They tell me it's a problem with valve clearance. And then there's the gearbox. Shifting below 2nd gear has become practically impossible while on the move. The gears are hard AF on one day, and the next they go all mushy, making it extremely difficult to get used to the bike. I might be wrong on this one, but after the noise started, the engine has been steadily failing at holding revs in neutral. The RPM fluctuates wildly between below 1000 RPM to over 1600 RPM. Nor does the engine accelerate smoothly in any gear. The jerkiness in acceleration is increasing with every kilometer.
Even with all its flaws, I really don't want to let go of my bike. I really love it, but if a 3-month old bike is giving me these many problems, I really don't know what else to do.

Do you belong to a very dusty place? I believe this is a chain+injector+clutch problem all together. Don't be too bothered though. The problem will get undone.Originally posted by numa97 View PostAre you sure about the 'ride hard and ignore' part? My FZ has lost some power after 4500km on the odo. I belong to a tier-3 city, so my local Yamaha dealer does not have that computerised diagnostic tool. But thanks, I'll ask the mechanic to look into that.Originally posted by niharx View PostCheck your throttle body & fi ,simple fi diagnostics will tell if there is some issue with fi.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Yes, I do travel 50 kms everyday on a very dusty highway. I clean and lube the chain once, every month. However, the jerkiness may be due to a loose chains. It requires more than three presses of the ignition button to start the bike, especially after it's been parked in the sun for a long time. Could it be due to the fuel injector too? It's hard not to worry when a three-month old bike starts developing problems. It's my first bike too.Originally posted by JyotishmanS View PostDo you belong to a very dusty place? I feel it's lack of proper maintenance. Please clean and lube your chain every 500 kms. Check chain slack and air filter. And regarding your ignition, it has to be bad fuel jamming your injector.Originally posted by numa97 View PostYes, I do travel 50 kms everyday on a very dusty highway. Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Perhaps so. I'm quite new to this so I would only clean the chain with kerosene and lube it up with YamaLube once every month. Will keep this in mind. Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
All BS4 FI bikes have this issue. Fuel tank is sealed and connected to charcoal canister inside for evaporated fuel circulation. If you open and close fuel lid after parking for long time in sun then it will start immediately. Another option is to switch on ignition and wait for 10-15 seconds then crank.Originally posted by numa97 View Post. Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Hello Guys.
This is my first post here.(Silent Reader)
My odo is at 3k as of now.
I have done short weekend Rides only till now.
And i am planning to do long rides also after my 12th class.(i am in 12th class☺️)
Bike has been quite good till now. There are always some pros and some cons in every bike. This bike also has. Here i am mentioning some cons only:-
1. Headlight shakes on uneven roads.
2. Lower Gears are hard .
3. Vibration at 5.2k rpm.
That's it. These are 3 cons i have faced. If anyone knows the solution of anyone of these please tell me. I have done chain cleaning and lube but still gears are hard.
And vibration at 5.2k rpm is very annoying. Please tell me solution.😃
I have seen people mentioning headlight is very weak. I don't feel so. Mine is quite good and came adjusted from company. Here are few night shots:-
1. Low beam

2. High beam

3. Low beam

4. High beam

I have done few mods too.
1. Changed auxiliary bulb and no. Plate bulb to led.(By Myself)

2. Reflective strips on scoops.
3. Silencer wrap.
4. Windshield wrap.
5. Removed tyre hugger.
6. Removed front no. plate.
7. Printed no. on front mudguard.
8. Rim strips.
9. Seat covers.
At last. There are few good shots.

And last, Yamaha gave welded Exhaust/muffler, Whereas in KTM/Dominar you can remove exhaust/muffler by just opening nuts. Anyone knows why?
