Thanks Ankit, for first 5 working days of a week, I get a cab service by the company and the use is very frequent, but for weekends I would be needing fog lamps. I'm yet to study the electricals to make a decision.

Riding is not just a skill, it's an attitude

I guess they designed it for 35w or 55w bulb, so needed a better alternative and a battery which increased cost.

Inorder to keep cost low they used a 13.5w bulb, a feeble alternator and low cost battery.

Yamaha could have added an more Powerful alternator along with powerful headlight as an optional upgrade since may of us are not satisfied with it.

Mielage figures after sedate ride of 45km in city from meter reset.
Tried- Below 60kmph, very less gear shifts, very very gradual acceleration, less brakes

I have calculated and cross checked console mielage manually also (FTFT method RTR method) few times, there is hardly +/- 1 or 2 km difference.

How my showing 36.5 and it gives 32, and yeah I got a small accident because I can't see a road bumper and all the credit goes to its powerful headlight[emoji23] [emoji23] [emoji23] [emoji111] [emoji111]

Be more careful while riding during head on vehicle HL glare.

That’s not a high power producing machine. It can run more than 50 km on a liter on highways, if ridden like Ankit. [emoji39]

Today my bike scraped it's belly twice over two different speed beakers. My pillion weighs nearly 70 kgs and myself 60. The speed breakers were just more than average
and not that high. Later I noticed that the catalytic converter was scraping. I wonder the ground clearance is low on the bike. I used to go over the same bumps with my discover 125 with same pillion and never scraped.

Also looking at the catalytic converter I saw a small hole in it through which exhaust gases were escaping. Can anyone tell what is that for.

Yup others also observed same, set the suspension to harder side if you are ok with it. Install skid plate available at spare part store for fz25 underbelly protection.

Small hole is for water and moisture exit passage, its in every bike.

Lol mate. Your meter console says how you ride and how you care about your rides. All well keep machines and mechanically sound.

Try to upgrade front sprocket to 16 teeth one which should give more smoothness and better top end. Anyway you don’t need that short gear.

First of all ground clearance does not exactly depend on the value which we see on the specs sheet, Fz 25 has a much longer wheelbase compared to discover 125.
The longer the wheelbase the higher ground clearance the vehicle will require to cross an obstacle, the only way is try going very slow over speed breakers or if possible try to cross them a bit diagonally.

My fzs v2 also has a small hole under my catalytic converter,I am not completely sure but I assume its there to drain out water/ moisture from the catalytic converter. Sometimes In the rainy season I have seen 2-3 drops of water coming out from the hole during cold starts.
