Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Folks at Bikerz Alandur do a very good job at servicing, at least that's what I heard and experienced so far. The only downside is they don't have all accessories for FZ25. Whenever I ask they claim their orders are running in backlog with Yamaha. So if you can fit the accessories some time later, then I recommend Bikerz(assuming it's not very far from your place).Originally posted by Britto1249 View PostHi guys,
I was looking forward for buying dominar 400.. but finally decided to join the Yamaha bandwagon by going for the fz25...
I got all my doubts cleared thanks to the forum members..
Now, I just want to know which dealer to approach.. Paras Yamaha or jains Yamaha?!
Ppl in Chennai pls help me out !
I didn't get a good customer engagement from other dealers such as Raj Yamaha, Samukh motors Medavakkam, and Shanti Motors Pallikaranai. Also I've heard some negative feedback about servicing of Shanti Motors and Samukh motors from friends. I had a good followup and delivery was also smooth and as promised at Bikerz. Feel free to PM me if you need more details on Bikerz and the service advisor.
Cheers!

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
I have done 2400 and didn't faced any problems. Many other members have done above 2k with no issues. Don't read everything, not all are experienced here. Some are too concerned with little noises. Tappet noise is BS, its very easy to fix and can be done easily at home. My bike delivering me 45km/l if ridden with no ripping. Otherwise can expect 40kmpl. I'm happy with my fz.Originally posted by Gkn View PostHi guys....

As per my research, Sri motors in Kattuppakam is good. Heard some good opinions about them and they would even respond quickly for email queries too.Originally posted by Britto1249 View PostHi guys,

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
I bought my first bike in bikerz (now in alandur) and been servicing with them since. Though there were up's and downs the service center guys are pretty good to me. So you can give it a try there.Originally posted by Britto1249 View PostHi guys,

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Bought my bike a week ago. It has an ODO of about 300kms. I'm getting an FE of around 37kmpl in city and yet to test on highway. I never experienced any issues expect disk padding/dragging which I fixed. From details , my bike was manufactured in June-17. I think only earlier manufactured bike have those issue and newer once have been rectified.Originally posted by Gkn View PostHi guys....

Touchwood, there have been absolutely no problems with bike.
Fuel economy in City is close to 40 kmpl, traffic is heavy to moderate else it will be above 40 kmpl.
Most of the problems you see posted earlier are generally because of improper run-in people do. Just that they don't post how run-in was done but are ready to post about the problems. There might be some honest cases, but that would be rare.
Do thorough PDI and stick to proper run-in, any bike will serve well unless you have got an absolute lemon.2007 - Hero Honda CBZ Xtreme

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
I did too, the brakes were sharper which I'm used being in non abs and switched my brake lines to steel braided, it depends on your braking and how n when you use it, abs is of course a life saver but comes down to availability and preference .Originally posted by instarider View PostThere is no need of abs if you know how to ride
I own a Cbr 250r non abs and have ridden the duke 390s with abs switched off.
I've not faced any skidding issues with these machines
If you are new to these machines then abs would be a wise choice
