I know enough to guide someone on the right path. I do my homework before replying to a fellow biker in need of help. When someone interferes in my business I will certainly have problem with that and I will retaliate in the rightful manner. I am not really bothered by the likes of "fusioncoast" looks like the chap is just venting some frustration. Thats alright. I am not taking it seriously. Buy gel pads which are used by tourers.Originally posted by Mani_K View PostSome help needed guys......
I'm developing discomfort and pain in my posterior and mid back. I'm coming back to riding after 10 years, having stopped riding a Pulsar 180 in 2007.
I do the basics of having a, not firm but comfortable grip on handle bars and not straining my back with an upright position.
The discomfort starts kicking in after about the 20th km of a ride. I commute 70 kms a day, 35kms each way to work and back.
The seat edges near the inner thighs support radiates with vibes from the engine post 60 kmph, so do the foot pegs and the buzz kicks in at the handle bar. The levels of intensity varies as I go up the speed ranges till about 115 kmph.
The odo is at 1300kms and the first service didn't make much difference to the above mentioned points.
The showroom doesn't have the accessories yet, not even a cushioned seat cover. Any suggestions? As I gaze upon your beauty, I think to myself, "never have I seen an angel fly so low".

I hav fit the ktm mirrors they help upto a certain rpm then its the same.Originally posted by Kirankarunan View PostI temporarily switched mine to the ones I had on my Fiero. Big positive difference. Have to see if it vibrates at speed. I am looking at getting the 2017 KTM mirrors as they seem wider set than the RTR ones. Seriously motoblizzard your words reflect a lot about you. If you dont want to help thats ok, just say it. No need to make personal comments. I asked you and members here to take a pic of the Oil cooling radiator if possible. If you cant do it then then just stay silent and dont comment. Its not too difficult. Afterall I am trying to learn what this is and what it looks like on the FZ25.
Is that an ACU Gold Sticker? WOW! Where did you get the helmet from?

I guess you started your argument with asking me to post about the oil cooling radiator right? You had mentioned in a post that you thought that the engine is air cooled.

You can also get the rear shocks adjusted to suit your riding style along with the seat gel.Originally posted by Mani_K View PostSome help needed guys......

Mottobizzard & Harrisoncool,Originally posted by Harrisoncool View PostAfter teaching them all these, if the pillion is still uncomfortable. Take it slow, no aggressive acceleration or braking. That should do the trick.
Thanks for your valuable input.
All said and done, if a third person is riding pillion, than I think, he needs to grab the seat bar at the back, if he/she feels uncomfortable holding/touching the rider.

I hope situation is unlike back ache in Toyota Etios seat. In this case back support sold by road side vendors resolves all issues. Similarly adequate support on sit bones and thighs might provide some relief in bike. As mentioned in earlier post, gel seats are other option.Originally posted by Mani_K View PostSome help needed guys......

BEST: Take up gym for strengthening back muscles to support torso. This will help. Even I had done this.
Now I don't find any issues with me.

Thanks a ton for all the answers folks! Popular responses has warranted me to download Non-Stop Workout music now...[emoji125]🏼[emoji125]🏼[emoji125]🏼[emoji125]🏼[emoji125]🏼
I concur with the pain in the palm point, it has eased up much more than the initial days. It's been 30 days since I got the bike and just over 10 days using it to commute. Will give it time, thanks.Originally posted by VaibhavPisal View Postyou will get used to it. most likely. give it some more time. .
True that, I started regretting having sold my car just 2 months back. I was about to go book a car this weekend thinking health's more important than economics.Originally posted by GandalfTheGrey View PostIt's completely normal. I know some of them who have picked up a bike after long gap and coming up with same complaints.
Now after your response and the answers from others, I'll give it a few more days and see the results.
Yes, I asked the SVC guys to set the rear shocks to the plushest possible setting and was ready to forgo a bit of handling for it. They suggested otherwise and only took it down a notch.Originally posted by fusioncoast View PostYou can also get the rear shocks adjusted to suit your riding style along with the seat gel.
I had seen some of those easily detachable gel padding seats but was too skeptical about their efficiency at a cost of about 4K. Would that really make a huge difference?
Also I'd like to mention that I'm from Chennai and we have 5 months of SEVERE summer followed by another 5 months of summer every year! I can feel the engine throwing away blasts of hot air across my ankles, don't want my rear side to get cooked further because of the seats too.
I drove a Grand i10 and was completely in love with that car, no aches, no noise, no vibrations and a breeze to drive even in heavy traffic. Had to let go of it though.Originally posted by mknaidu11 View PostI hope situation is unlike back ache in Toyota Etios seat. I was a regular at the gym until 3 years back and can't say I don't have some unwanted inches of flab around my tummy now.
I'll take up your suggestion on the gym though......

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
I understand your point MK, I don't know if FZ25 has a grab rail (I don't own it yet). If i where you, in this case, I wouldn't go beyond 40KM, which will give me more than enough time to predict and ride. But i wouldn't prefer going for a long ride with such people.Originally posted by mknaidu11 View PostMottobizzard & Harrisoncool,

You should stop asking whether I own it or not because it doesnt matter. Also I dont have to "think" whether the engine is air cooled or not because Yamaha have stated it themselves clearly.Originally posted by fusioncoast View Postdo you own an FZ25?

Besides like I mentioned before to the other fellow biker who asked for it, the 4 fin oil cooler will not have a cover or aftermarket guard available for it. If you would have been so kind to post a pic of the oil cooler, I would not have needed to head down to a Yamaha dealership to take a look at it. Maybe you dint know that no where on their website it states that it has an Oil Cooler (hence my doubt) unless one were to watch their Development video. Whereas TVS Apache 200 4V has 'Oil Cooled' stated clearly on its website. Sarcasm? You are too quick to jump to conclusions. Also I said " I know enough" not "everything"

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Yes it will be covered by insurance. Call up your insurance company immediately and tell them you met with an accident and want to file for a claim. They will take details of how, when and where the accident happened. After that they will give you a claim number. You will have to mention the Dealship/Workshop name where you are going to deposit your bike. An inspector will come and assess teh damage and give clearance for the claim.Originally posted by deepu997 View Posthi friends, today morning I met with accident. Some scratches on tank. Is it replaceable by insurance. If yes what is the procedure I need to follow? Please help me
But heres teh thing. If the cost of replacement/repair is minimal then dont file for a claim. Weigh its value against NCB for next years insurance purchase. For My Gixxer Related videos: Click HERE

You can get the helmet from Helmetcity UK online stores. I doubt if you import to India, you land up paying duty heavily. I got it at Abu Dhabi.Avoid noise pollution. Avoid honking.
