Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Indeed Yes, It has Oil Cooler similar to Avenger's. Oil cooled engines are also typically air cooled as you know, FZ25 has engine fins as well as External Oil cooler with fins in it.Originally posted by Chandan92 View PostNo, FZ25 doesn't have an oil cooler like avenger(oil cooled) atleast by looking at the pics.

FYI, I own an FZ25.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
It does actually, I had to go to a Yamaha dealer just to check it out and end my curiosity. The dealer was very nice and intelligible. He opened an official Yamaha Youtube video showcasing teh FZ25 and viola it says in the video that it has a "4 row Core oil cooler" but unfortunately its not mentioned anywhere on their FZ25 product page like how it has on the TVS Apache 200 4V product page.Originally posted by Chandan92 View PostNo, FZ25 doesn't have an oil cooler like avenger(oil cooled) atleast by looking at the pics.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Instead of applying for insurance, better replace the panel in Service centre. Tank cover is plastic and it is not covered in insurance.Originally posted by deepu997 View Posthi friends, today morning I met with accident. Some scratches on tank. Is it replaceable by insurance. If yes what is the procedure I need to follow? Please help me

Which insurance company does not give coverage for plastic parts? I have ICICI Lombard and Reliance General insurance on 2 bikes and they both cover Plastic parts, but not 100%Originally posted by Harrisoncool View PostTank cover is plastic and it is not covered in insurance. For My Gixxer Related videos: Click HERE

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Hi guys...
I owned both 200 duke and 390 in the past until I broke my hand in an accident.
I sold them both because I was off work for a period of 6 months.
Now I am planning to take up biking again .. step by step obviously..
So I planned on going for the 200 duke again since I love every aspect of the bike except touring standpoint because of the short gearing (the main reason behind me getting the 390)
And then Yamaha launched the 250.
I have been digging as much info as I could from this thread.
I have a few questions that I would like to ask and your answers would be much appreciated.
Fyi I have booked the fz25 but my mind is still on the Ktm.
On with the questions now..
1. How are the brakes? Heard they are spongy.. is there any feedback at all?
2. How Good are the headlights?
Yes, there are posts from before.
There were few posts saying that the throw has improved after adjustment. Can they be used if you're out for a night ride?
3. I was just thinking.. since most of the components are same as the fzs, could there be a way to retrofit the fzs head lamp assy and convert it to 3500-4000 lumen after market led?
4. I also heard that there is a flat spot sub 3k rpm.. is it true?
Sorry about the long post..
The dilemma is eating me from the inside😅
Thanks in advance

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
I am still thinking you might need to adjust your position a little bit, or may e try adjusting the handlebar position too. I am 6' and face aboslutely no pains in the back. But the butt, yes it starts to ache after about 15kms. And I think some extra cushions ( 2" foam, as done by someone else here) should take care of that. Planning to do that sometime after first service.Originally posted by Mani_K View PostSome help needed guys...... I'm developing discomfort and pain in my posterior and mid back. I'm coming back to riding after 10 years, having stopped riding a Pulsar 180 in 2007. The seat edges near the inner thighs support radiates with vibes from the engine post 60 kmph, so do the foot pegs and the buzz kicks in at the handle bar. The levels of intensity varies as I go up the speed ranges till about 115 kmph. The odo is at 1300kms and the first service didn't make much difference to the above mentioned points. The showroom doesn't have the accessories yet, not even a cushioned seat cover. Any suggestions?
And your comment about the vibes, I get all of that too (except handlebar) at certain RPMs. My bike is currently at 720Kms, and I thought, post first service those would diminish. Not that its intolerable (much lesser compared to what I faced with 200NS), but would have been nicer if they got reduced after oil change. Does every owner feel these vibes at the footpegs, tank bottom area??
And one other thing I notice with my ride, is I am getting "krrrrr..." kind of sound (below console or engine area, unsure), sometimes accelerating past 5.5K RPM, and many times while decelrating from 4K RPM or so.. Would any one know what it is? Might have to inform during 1st service.

I had insurance from HDFC and they did not cover my plastic parts in FZS, but that was years ago.Originally posted by MotoBlizzard View PostWhich insurance company does not give coverage for plastic parts? Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Update on using Fiero mirrors. It works very well. Tried little past 70kmph. There are vibes but not as much as before. But view is very good, no blind spots right behind me. Now to hunt for a new pair. RTR mirrors don't extend out as wide as these. Although they are higher placed than the stock Yamaha. They would be an improvement too I assume. Also will check for KTM 2017. Am open to suggestions too. Thanks!Originally posted by fusioncoast View PostI hav fit the ktm mirrors they help upto a certain rpm then its the same.

1. When you ride you will feel back brake don't not have a bite like front brake. Even i was not happy with that but when I was riding at 70kmp I did hard braking I didn't feel brake LockupOriginally posted by paradoxr9019 View PostHi guys...

2. Yes headlight are not adjusted. If you adjust them it will be perfect.
3. I never felt vibrations on foot peg or handle bar.
4. After first service I feel bike is smooth.
But what I hate to core in my is pillion will make marks on silencer when I see that it will piss me off .
Headlight unit was shaking a lot while riding after adjusting beam through it got reduce I don't know how but it doesn't not shake.
