Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Yeah. True that. Is some kind of an engine/radiator cover available or anyone designed it for any other bike?Originally posted by Vinu Pillai View PostDid anyone felt that the front mudgaurds are a little short?? riding even after a short rain, the front engine part just behind the mudgaurd is getting muddy.do anyone have a suggestion?
This thing immediately gets dirtly.
Has anyone pressure washed their bike? What are the precautions to be taken? Does the petrol tank/ECU/Electricals need to be covered/protected?

Its a Motorcycle not a Car. They are designed to withstand all kinds of weathers. Also theres no need to pressure wash a motorcycle. Take a normal water pipe at your home and use that.
Be practical. Dont get so worked up on such small things.Originally posted by Vinu Pillai View PostDid anyone felt that the front mudgaurds are a little short?? Did you want it to go all teh way to the bottom and touch the road? riding even after a short rain, the front engine part just behind the mudgaurd is getting muddy.do anyone have a suggestion? What did you expect to happen while riding in the rain? After each ride throw some water on it after teh engine cools down (~30mins), simple.

If the guy is asking for a good radiator guard its obviously because he doesn't like mud sitting on it.
Also, if he asking for better designed mudguard then probably the current one is not good enough for him (might be for you - happy for you if that is the case). Just tell him that you find it good enough and haven't seen anything better and then move on.
P.S You might want to take the last few words of your post and apply them to yourself
(after all dude he is just asking for opinions from fellow riders on a forum..no need to "get so worked up on such small things")

1. The bike does not have a radiator (its air cooled) Correct me if I am wrong
2. Even if it had a radiator, you would put a Guard on it not a "Cover" as mentioned by Kaustubh. Since the bike is relatively new, there will be no aftermarket support for it yet.
3. Pressure washing a motorcycle is never recommended for a bike
4. He wants a better mudguard to prevent mud from getting thrown on the engine block and header pipe? *SMH*Last edited by The Monk; 05-25-2017, 04:08 PM.For My Gixxer Related videos: Click HERE

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Nowadays mudguards are built like this only, although you can add an extender but you have to drill two holes for that but still it will throw some mud on engine block and header pipe.Originally posted by Vinu Pillai View Post[re a little short?? riding even after a short rain, the front engine part just behind the mudgaurd is getting muddy.do anyone have a suggestion?

Pressure wash is never a problem if its medium pressure is used near engine area. Rest of the bike its fine.Originally posted by kaustubh_vaze View PostYeah. True that. Is some kind of an engine/radiator cover available or anyone designed it for any other bike?
