Had a morning ride to Kasara Ghat from Nashik (100 kms), as the ODO has passed 500 I touched 6k a couple of times and achieved 90-95kmph.
    Few
    1. So far I haven't faced any issues with the bike. Gear shifting is smooth(which was a problem with few owners in run-in period).

    2. Talking about coin rattling, my bikes soundnote is changing over a period of time(feels more matured than earlier) but no signs of coin rattling so far and hopefully won't appear in near future.

    3. Headlights is a major issue, the intensity of it is a major drawback. SVC here in Nashik are themselves installing the fog lamps and it won't void your warranty for sure as long as your stock wirings are not cut. I've not yet studied the of electricals so can't comment on the capacity and capability of the system.

Few Tips (Gyan): take a good care of the machine in the break-in, this is where most of the issues are born from. Strictly avoid sudden acceleration and deceleration, be gentle. Don't ride at constant RPM, keep varying it. 4.5k and 6k are not 'limits', you can go +500 but just to teach your engine (avoid prolonged use, don't do it multiple times. feel the health and then take a decision)

    Hope this helps!

    Alright thanks alot!

I visited Yamaha showroom in Pune to get a quotation. They are giving Rs.2400 worth of accessories(as per the quotation). When I asked the showroom manager, he said the accessories include leg guard, blinker sound, Teflon coating, seat covers. Doesn't Yamaha provide with a skid plate in the accessories? Any other accessory the showrooms are supposed to provide?

Most of the accessories for FZ25 are scarce, in Ahmednagar I could hardly find any. I'm not sure if Yamaha provides skid plate or not, but when I asked for one they told that it is not available for this model and recommended not to use any.

Leg guard would cost you around 900/- and seat covers for 500-600/- I would recommend you not to get any other things in the package. Teflon coating is purely waste of money , rather it might damage your paint in worst case. Buzzer sound, I don't think we need one, it is hardly useful.

Even try other options for seat covers, you'll save almost 50% of the cost they are asking for.

Skid plates are provided by yamaha and its listed in their phamplet as official accesory. Skid plates can prevent exhaust belly scrap to some extent which is very common in fz 25 when we have pillion rider

Its common on new motorcycles. The material between the seals burn and thus the smell. can be ignored.

Fully Synthetic is just a word. Like Real fruit juice Tetra-pack contains only 10% real fruit. Fully Synthetic doesn't mean it is.

Next, KTM Engines operate at close to extremes when compared to FZ25. You may not need Motul 7100 when Yamalube is doing good job.
My experience with motorcycles teached me to go only with Manufacturer recommended engine oils.

I tried Xado Synthetic oil which costs 1800/- per liter which was no way better than Motul 300v which costs 750/- liter on my 390.

Guess I'll just take the leg guard then. Seat covers can be done from local stores.

I'll ask the dealer for the skid plate.

              Fellow Riders,
Someone on the thread had posted a detailed calculation of electrical consumptions, I'm unable to find it. It'll be so kind if someone please share the same post. The fellow had given the breakup of consumption all the electrical parts and the capacity of alternator, battery etc.

I'm just trying to verify the risks of installing auxiliary headlamps. As I said in earlier posts my running would be low in future, so this is a must part to be done.

Also, my knowledge of electricals is quite weak, it would be really helpful if someone guides through some links or so to improve on it.

              TIA

30k should be ideal mileage you need to get tires replaced.
If you are a sedate rider, you can expect a life of around 45k, if lucky.
If you are a ripper who does wheelies and stoppies, be prepared to change anytime after 15K kms on odo.

                  Hi All,

Am planning to buy FZ25 in 2018 1st quarter, upgrading from FZS.

Just wanted to know if they are planning for a Battle Green Color variant for this Beast.

It will be awesome to see that one.

Also anyone can tell what will be the On-Road price in Bangalore ?

                  Thank you !!

Check your tyre pressure, chain slack and chain dirt and check them every 500 kms. You might be staying/riding through crowded places so your mileage will not go up. It depends on your riding habits too. By the way, any other problem faced in the bike?

I ride mostly on highway at 75 to 85kmph. Bike gives 38 to 39. Odo is 2800. If you want fuel economy then ride below 5k rpm or less. You'll get more than 42kmpl. That's what I got before 1st service.

The bike did turn off twice on me when I was waiting for the signal ( different occasions ), but after service its been a like a month since that happened .The exhaust filter is located too law , if you have a heavy pillion and tried to go over speed breaker , it probably hit it . so had to get a skid plate for it .

I got 44 (on console) on my trip to home (Wayanad), speed 80-90 most of the time, 3 or 4 short bursts of 100+. I keep checking air pressure every week, cleans and lubes chain every 500k and uses premium petrol only. In city i'm getting 35 - 38. Never tried tank to tank method though.
