Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Hey there, anything new post your service?Originally posted by Shamanth Gowda View PostWell after the service the vibration at 5k rpm is reduced to 50 percent. Now there is just buzz but have to see how this holds up for another 100 km. Only then it'll be permanent fix. Hopefully it'll be only a buzz which I can live with. Anyways I'll switch to motul 7100 at 7k km and share my experience after that.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Okay so i did reset the fuel average and still getting 24-26 kmpl average which is quite low according to my sane riding style. Still 170odo and long way to go for first service. Need your opinion friends.

Only 170 KMS on the odo.... That's too early to check the efficiency of the bikeOriginally posted by mehul7 View PostOkay so i did reset the fuel average and still getting 24-26 kmpl average which is quite low according to my sane riding style. Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
You have to ride more to obtain approx avg. My bike, At first service[1010km] Meter showed avg of 42kmpl. Now it varies from 35 to 36 depending on my riding which is around 80 to 100 kmph. But it's not accurate as i have calculated mileage and bike is returning around 38 to 40 which is just impressive at these speeds.Originally posted by mehul7 View PostOkay so i did reset the fuel average and still getting 24-26 kmpl average which is quite low according to my sane riding style. Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
I have a weird problem with my front brakes. I feel heavy judders on the handlebars when I'm braking into a turn, irrespective of speed (not always though). And this never occurs when I brake in a straight line even at high speeds. In general, judders will be because of warped Rotors, but since straight line braking is unaffected, dunno where to look. What could be wrong? Anyone any insights?
P.S: I also have the handlebar slight wobble issue (between 65 - 80 speeds), could that be interlinked?
I have my 3rd free service coming up, need to clear these issues out (under warranty if required).

Handle bar holder issue. Go to service centre and replace them under warranty.Originally posted by ramdante View PostI have a weird problem with my front brakes. Any play in it causes judders.
It becomes loose over use. If you ride on bad roads.

1. Not at smooth as FZ16, but you wont complain after proper run in is done.Originally posted by slopegatri View Posthello guys, need some inputs from long term owner of this bike.
1. is this bike really as smooth as fz16 ? even upto 100-110kmh ? any vibrations ?
2. any huge issues so far ?
3. i have heard about there's some weird tappet noise in this bike. is it present on every fz25 ? and how bad it is if you are always wearing a helmet( like ls2,mt)
4. how is headlight ? really bad or average like other bikes ?
5. anything else noteworthy ( small issues ) you guys like to point out.
i have shortlisted 2 bikes , rtr2004v, and fz25. been using a 125cc bajaj bike for last 8 years. and want to upgrade to something powerful for highway/touring purpose. although 100-110kmh is enough for me i don't need more because i fear i'll loose control. no vibration is the most important feature for me. current bike vibrates like hell past 45kph. and i don't want another bajaj again. thanks.
2. I can say No.
3. Always wear helmet. Tappet sound is not the deal-breaker at all.
4. Good for City. For Highway...Average
5. Minor rusts on non-Yamaha manufactured parts.2007 - Hero Honda CBZ Xtreme
2008 - Yamaha YZF R15
2009 - Hero Honda CBZ Xtreme
2013 - KTM 390 Duke
2017 - Yamaha FZ25

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
When you take of your hands off the bars, the vehicle should always maintain a straight trajectory. If you find wobble during certain speeds or twitchy handlebar, it can be caused due to improper tire pressure to loose/tight steering stem. In such case check the basics like TP and then adjust the T stem steering tightness. Since your bike is new, it's usually a case of loose T stem, get it checked and adjusted. Keep your observations posted.Originally posted by ramdante View PostI have a weird problem with my front brakes. Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Hi Everyone,
I recently bought Fazer25 recently (9th Feb). Till now I have clocked 200 kms. Since the day I had clocked 150 kms, I started getting the strange rattling noise from the engine. I don't know if its normal or is it the tappet noise everyone is talking about. I didn't high rev the engine till now and always rode below 4000 - 4500 RPM. Can anyone who had experienced with tappet issue before tell me if thats really tappet noise or something else. If its tappet noise, will it get fixed by the SVC guys ? I am sorry if I posted it in wrong forum, actually both FZ25 and Fazer25 engines are same and the Fazer25 forum is kind of inactive, so posted it here.
I am attaching the link of the video for the sound coming from engine. Please help. Its usually happening when the engine has run for a while. The sound is even more when releasing the throttle.
