My recommendation: Try changing fuel station and get in liters. Don't pull throttle rigorously and use real time avg indicator to train yourself on perfect throttle usage. You can also use fuel additive like System-G, this help clearing carbon deposit from valves and sensors, and some increase in FE have been reported. 1ml is used for every liter. Not to be use everytime, i use once a month.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
If your real time avg indicator shows 50-55kpl at 45kph with slight throttle off then you will get 40-45kpl. Most of the time the problem is with the filling station, they would never fill accurate if you ask them in rupees. I heard they choke off 100ml in every liter. Instead, I ask them to fill in liters and i experience better FE. I get 10L all the time and I get 45kpl (I pay with card). At two instances they heard something else and filled partly in rupee & then in liters, and i got less FE.Originally posted by jass007 View Post

In real world a big no. But yea if you continue to go downhill with a little constant open throttle and wind blast is from back then you will get even more than that.Originally posted by krishan..... Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Reason why we have poor headlight illumination is because high beam is 12v 13.5W and low beam is 12v 9W.
In order to change headlight bulb we have remove complete assembly and have to remove weatherproof lining. And for god sake headlight bulb is custom made too, I guess Yamaha screwed us by a whole new level.
Due to weak consumer laws and lack of govt regulation we can’t do anything.

Are you saying that you cannot swap the lower output bulbs with more powerful ones. Unless the bulbs use a proprietary interface, in sure there will be many better aftermarket optionsOriginally posted by krishna6239 View PostReason why we have poor headlight illumination is because high beam is 12v 13.5W and low beam is 12v 9W.

We cannot change as it's a complete unit.. even if the LED fails we have to change the entire unitOriginally posted by Absoluthavoc View PostAre you saying that you cannot swap the lower output bulbs with more powerful ones. Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
I searched but couldn’t find much info on it for aftermarket replacement. SC guys were pretty useless with this issue. However I’ll dig deep into this issue and will try to find a viable solution as soon as possible.Originally posted by Absoluthavoc View PostAre you saying that you cannot swap the lower output bulbs with more powerful ones. Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Guys who are thinking of upgrading to a higher wattage bulbs, please bear in mind, the FZ 25 has a pretty weak alternator just sufficient enough to power all the electricals. There is no scope to support even aux lights. Please exercise caution especially since the bike runs on FI.Socha Toh Locha.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
I have not tried it, but from what I read, changing the front sprocket to a higher teeth configuration will be easier than changing the rear sprocket. you have to ensure enough clearance for a bigger front sprocket. You will be able to shave off a few RPMs at same speed when you are cruising and will also result in better mileage on the highway. In the city, you may need to just downshift once in a while to get additional power.Originally posted by jass007 View PostYeah. But I want to know whether there would be any other issues, already this bike has some issue giving me a mileage 28-29kmpl both highways and city. SC guys have no clue about it. But is it really possible to change the sprocket or any other part and gain higher top end?
Changing the front sprocket will be easier than the rear.

Damn ...... Any other alternatives apart for installing aux lights to battery ? (Without loosing warranty)Originally posted by velociraptor13 View PostGuys who are thinking of upgrading to a higher wattage bulbs, please bear in mind, the FZ 25 has a pretty weak alternator just sufficient enough to power all the electricals. Consumer court ? Probably will not go well for us.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
The lamp wattage is low coz these are led not the regular halogen bulbs. And you can fit aux lamp on any bike without affecting the warranty just make sure u use a relay and do not cut any wires , plus make the setup which you can detach in case u need a warranty claim.Originally posted by krishna6239 View PostDamn ...... Thanks for highlighting this piece of info. where did you find this info? any trusted source? would be interesting to see mods for alternator soon, which could be swapped with better ones.
