Check my posts just 2 or 3 pages back.. got the front and rear replaced in last 2 weeks.. again facing issue with front disc.. going to service center this weekend.. rear is for 950 and front should be 450.. according to SC I press brake with accelerating.. they couldn't come up with anything better.. I have sent a mail to customer care too.. waiting for an answer now..

      • Yamaha fz25 first ride

Yamaha fz25 first (proper) ride review:
The first thing that amazes you about this bike is the low-end torque. You start, and in no time you are in 3rd gear. Even riding through the worst traffic won't need the 1st gear. That power transforms meatily till about 6000 rpm. I don't know any higher. I'm breaking in, and i didn't go beyond 105 kph which felt like about 75 kph in the fz16. Very comfortable seat, very refined ride, zips through traffic, and coasts through bad roads. I had doubts about the MRFs, but tyre profile is more rounded than the previous fz, so cornering felt secured. Braking is good enough, and all the doubts about the headlight seem uncalled for. Creates a healthy beam of white light. Cons...the gearbox is clunky on upshift and the handles are too slim. Overall, perhaps the most sensible quarter litre there is today. No wonder the sales of this bike is the highest in the 250 to 400 cc category. Will put some words again soon. #fz25 #yesyamaha

Has anyone ever tried installing a belly pan on FZ25?

No cheap FI unit is there in FZ25, get injectors cleaned every 15-20k kms and it hardly costs ₹400/- and yes it's done at yamaha svc.
Yamaha Blue Core means Cheap injectors for better FE. check their documentation in detail. Car injectors dont need any cleaning even after running a 100K kms. who said? i am in my third car now

Yamaha's blue core injector needs cleaning at periodic intervals. why? blue core is the answer.

If it costs hardly 400, then it it shouldn't be a big concern. even though the total comes to about 500 including taxes

Is the sound of the FI unit really audible while the bike is idling or do I have superman ears? o.O

Fuel pump makes sound. Not injectors

Brake pad wearing off at 4k kms mean two things, either there was a constant contact of the pads on the rotor or the wheel itself was maligned causing irregular pad contact patch and causing the pads to wear off. Get your caliper piston checked for proper functioning. If a caliper piston is not retracting as it should, then the pads will be in contact irrespective of rider input causing premature wear.

The bike just died on me in 3rd gear when accelerating through traffic, putting me in a very precarious situation, because there was no electricals, I lost the indicator lights as well as the tail stop lights.. luckily the car behind me wasn't in a mighty hurry or he would have definitely rear ended me.

This is the first time it happened to me when in running.

I suspect there is an issue with the circuitry or possibly an issue with the battery/wiring. I hope this is not a more severe underlying problem because I continue to have the issue randomly with starting the bike when turning the key to power on ignition shows no activity. Have to try turning the key off & on a couple of times before it starts.

Just cannot believe this is a premium product from Yamaha with some glaring issues like this
Check your battery terminals. A loose terminal lug can cause complete electrical failure and fuel feed, being an FI unit, the power for it is always derived from the battery. Inspect your battery, check the lugs for any loose contact.

                  Cheers!

                  The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Sorry my misquote, I did mean the fuel pump. So the pump has the whining sound thats audible even under the bike's idling sound?

Thank you for the response, yes I asked the mech to check the functioning of the unit once new pads were installed, he said all is well and it usual wear, hmmmmm. I hope it was a one-off issue, I will update future happenings.

Thank you for clarifying. Im not used to Yamaha's FI bikes hence that clear sound was bit of a concern for me until now. 😅

1300 kms clocked till now ,my bike having tappet noise from starting.
tappet noise used to trigger after 2km or so of riding.
today morning when i checked my engine oil level it is surprisingly high (as per the dipstick),
so i drained some of engine oil using a clean small pipe (approx 150ml)
now my oil level is set at just high ,now i notice few things after maintaining proper level of oil.
in morning i drove 13kms to office still tappet noise did not creep in.
some minor vibrations which used to come at 5000 rpm are shifted towards 5500 rpm& later.

I will also review it once again tomorrow.

                            Hallucination or reality ?
