Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
better check the charging system on the bike before you replace a battery. put in a temporary used battery and ask the battery shop to check the voltages.Originally posted by harnat1 View PostI attempted to charge the battery at a battery shop, but it didn't charge.
1. without starting the bike, the battery voltage should be around 12.7V
2. At idle, it should be around 13.2V
3. at around 5000rpm it should be about 14.5V
this would indicate a healthy charging system.
if you simply replace the battery, but the root cause of battery failure is a bad charging system, then your new battery will also fail eventually.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Today I've had a minor crash during my daily commute. A scooter guy stopped in the middle of the road. I had to panic break and both the tyres skid. I was able to avoid a collision but i fell down. I had proper gear and got away with minor injury. The bike to suffered only on the handlebars and crash guard.
I know it is the lack of ABS that caused the crash. I really hope that the bike gets updated with ABS. Even if it's a single channel unit.

[QUOTE=Amrit.Singh;1342104]Its a good oil, no doubt. But the question is, does it suit the Fz25?Originally posted by hemanta View Post

Saying because, I recently switched to Motul 5100 for my ride, and its not better than Yamalube. The bike feels very vibey when riding at lower RPMs (at higher RPMs, its better than Yamalube), and getting the tappet noise starts appearing a lot sooner (could be the svc center messed up). I still have 500 ml left, which I'm just going to top-up in between and get it over with. And switch back to Yamalube or Shell based on actual feedbacks from you and others. So, please post your impressions after 500kms or so.

Gone to service center and confirmed that the battery failed,fz25 had just 7ah battery and battery compartment was so small it just fits 7ah battery.my previous bike was pulsar which had 9ah battery ,with always on lights fz25 should have a better battery.Originally posted by s1d View Postbetter check the charging system on the bike before you replace a battery. put in a temporary used battery and ask the battery shop to check the voltages.

The handlebar problem is a common one for the fz25. There might be minor curve in the handlebar. Get it checked ASAP. Small problem, but will get bigger if you don't resolve it.Originally posted by rockzzz006 View PostGot this beast yesterday........

[QUOTE=hemanta;1342134]The dealer had only ax7 in 10w40 grade do I got that.Originally posted by Amrit.Singh View PostGetting it right now!!!
I also chatted with him about 'Cloudtail' seller in Amazon. He said at times cloud tail sells cheaper than the cost price for the dealer. How does he do it? He had no idea.
I'm going to ask Shell if this cloud tail is a genuine reseller. I have my doubts. This dealer too said cloud tail had no link with Shell.
How's the Ax7?
I'm going to rishikesh soon. So will give an update about how the oil is performing!
Tomorrow I'm also going to get the fork oil replaced. I'll be using Motul Techno synthetic (semi synthetic) fork oil 10w. And I'm going to take the risk and add bit of 20w Motul fork oil. Anyone interested in why I'm doing this can message me. It's a long explanation.
