Hi Bro,
The Engine Belly Pan Belongs to RTR 160 which is bought from a Used Bike parts Bazaar which is in Pudupet Chennai which costed me 200 Bucks. May you can purchase new from TVS showroom which will hardly cost 650 Plus GST.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
I am planning to upgrade from unicorn 150 to fz25. I need to know about service and maintenance cost for fz25. Will fz25 be as maintanence free and hassle free as Unicorn 150. Many people tell that fz25's cost of maintenance is very high. I will not have much time to care on my bike due to my hectic work timings. Will fz25 be a 'fill it, shut it and ride it' kind of a bike apart from basic cares like chain lube, air pressure check? Please help me to decide.

Don't expect a high power engine to behave and run like a lower powered one it's always complex but it'll be better than the competition that's what i can say. Fz25 is a motorcycle with a very few compromises.Originally posted by vengymgen View PostI am planning to upgrade from unicorn 150 to fz25. I need to know about service and maintenance cost for fz25. Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
After 10k km, the maintenance was oil change, air filter change and chain lubing. Not much maintenance is required and service interval is 5000km. Average service cost is 1 to 1.3k.Originally posted by vengymgen View PostI am planning to upgrade from unicorn 150 to fz25. I need to know about service and maintenance cost for fz25. Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
When I was purchasing also I had a similar concern. I was coming from a Suzuki Fiero which was excellent and no nonsense. The Yamaha is very maintainance free. Tires being tubeless even punctures are not a stopping problem. Mileage is 41 for me in Bangalore. Service interval is 5000km or 6 months. Chain lubrication needs to be done once in 500 to 1000km. Brake shoes change around 10000km plus. Doesn't need fancy expensive engine oils. Air filter change once in 15000km. A lot of small details make this very reliable and good for day to day use.Originally posted by vengymgen View PostWill fz25 be a 'fill it, shut it and ride it' kind of a bike apart from basic cares like chain lube, air pressure check? Ummm sorry for saying this but 20PS from a 250cc bike is okay power.Originally posted by snoufaltariq View PostDon't expect a high power engine to behave and run like a lower powered one it's always complex but it'll be better than the competition that's what i can say. It ain't a high power engine.
FZ25 is a no nonsense, easy going, humble bike. It does 95% of the job flawlessly and easily.Regards,

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
the maintenance 'activities' is going to be almost similar to a Uni. It isn't a very complicated engine/bike/electronics.Originally posted by vengymgen View PostI am planning to upgrade from unicorn 150 to fz25. you may though want to inquire about the costs of regular spares like brake pads (which iirc costs around 800rs at the rear), filters ..
Apart from that and regular chain lubrication (stick to EP 90 gear oil if you want to save money and still have excellent chain life) and common sense should keep it trouble free.
the P220, fz25 i think are a safe bet if you want a slightly more powerful bike than a 150cc with a peace of mind and not break the bank.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
All calculations are just a rough estimate which there or thereabouts of the original number of kms a bike can go in a litre of dinosaur pee pee. [emoji23]Originally posted by vengymgen View PostHow to check mileage of fz25? There is no reserve to reserve method as the bike is not carbureted.
FZ25 fuel tank has its entry fuel hole with either 2 rods or a metallic cylindrical structure which stops the fuel pump nozzle from going too deep. Fill fuel till that part and then ride for 100 kms. Fill fuel again from the same fuel pump and preferably same fuel nozzle. Calculate the fuel efficiency that way - 100kms/X litres.Regards,

FZ25 is 250cc Unicorn.Originally posted by vengymgen View PostI am planning to upgrade from unicorn 150 to fz25. I need to know about service and maintenance cost for fz25. Over year of ownership, I spend 2300/-.
Keep it simple and don't go for fancy engine oils that people suggest here.
Google for Full Tank to Full Tank method. This is probably the most accurate way to measure fuel economy manually.Originally posted by vengymgen View PostHow to check mileage of fz25? There is no reserve to reserve method as the bike is not carbureted.2007 - Hero Honda CBZ Xtreme

Unicorn 2.5k kms service intervals = 1L Oil
Fz25 5k kms service intervals = 1.4L Oil With Oil Filter
This bike also smooth Like Unicorn.
