Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
You can check oil level using the oil cap stick itself. Keep the bike levelled before you attempt this. If the level is more, use a thick injection with a thin pipe to siphon out extra oil.Originally posted by Sai ashish View PostHow do we check excess oil level in engine? And if found excess, how do we level it down ? I mean the quantity of oil we drain out, the measurement point. !!

It must be costing around Rs 1350/-

choose waterproof one, if you live in rainy area, also please do share your reviews after using the same.Originally posted by hemanta View PostSo they have two covers. One is waterproof which is orange on colour. Other is water resistant black in colour. I contacted the company and they recommended the black cover despite it being only water resistant. Over thinking. What if they are trying to finish the black cover stock?

Use the oil dipstick. The process is clearly shown in the manual. Use a CLEAN (preferably new) syringe to measure and take out the excessive oil.Originally posted by Sai ashish View PostHow do we check excess oil level in engine? Guys I wanted to clear something out. Raida gears team is insisting me to purchase the black cover (water resistant) over the orange one (water proof) saying the black one provided adequate protection. Do I trust them?Originally posted by Abhilash831989 View Postchoose waterproof one, if you live in rainy area, also please do share your reviews after using the same.

They do bro. Just changed to DPR8EIX and could feel some instant surge in initial pickup and ride has become smooth. Just drove 15kms tho. Will update after the tank drains for the mileage thing. Not my imagination. Confirmed with my brother before the postOriginally posted by Amrit.Singh View PostHere's a pro tip, they don't make any real life performance improvement so save your money.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Checked the oil level, does seem in the normal level. Weather is usually 38-39°C with a humidity of avg 50%. Heats up like crazy when cruising speeds of 100-120km/h, just find it unusual. Should I check the cooling system, is there any extra work to be done since it has been driven over 19000kms?Originally posted by Amrit.Singh View PostCheck the amount of oil. Excess oil can strain the engine and lead to overheating. Also, do take in account the change in weather. May is one of the hottest month.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Hi All,
What should be the tire pressure for FZ25?
As per the company, front tyre ~ 25 pSi and Rear tyre ~ 29 pSi for both with and without pillion rider. I'm not sure why it is same with pillion as well.
But, If I carry a pillion rider of ~100 Kg. I'm feeling like tyre is under pressure.
The above tyre pressures are ok?
Please give inputs on the same.

Hi, the stated values are for maximum payload of 165kg. If you are carrying more weight, adjust accordingly but maybe the stability of the bike becomes less with overloading.Originally posted by Praveen Malempati View PostHi All,

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Guys.. i am bit concerned right now... its been a known issue with my FZ25, i still have a feeler that my bike's front end is not straight and tilted to the right. Been to service center about 17 times so far in 3 months time for this single issue. Every time they keep changing the setting, but the feeling never improved. Last friday went again to fix it. This time we tried different settings and finaly felt like the bike is okay. But to my surprise, when riding above 65kmph front end shakes vigorously. Took it to service center today, he tightened few bolts and filled air to my front tyre ( Had nitrogen in already with recommended 25psi). Service center claims it was due to low air pressure and i doubt that since nitrogen stays longer than normal air and it was just a week ago i corrected my tyre pressure. Above all service center says, front end of all FZ25 shakes in 65kmph due to high frame, which i dont belive as i never had that feeling before. Can some one suggest a good service center in chennai apart from bikerz in alandur?

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
The bike should not wobble post 65 KMPH, irrespective of the reasons given by the SVC guys. A wobble can be caused due to n number of reasons, right from wheel bearings, to worn out coneset/bearings, cupped tire wear or even a bent chassis. Get it thoroughly checked once again, if you're under warranty push for a warranty inspection and ask for a detailed report on the issue and the job carried out on the motorcycle. A wobble isn't mean to happen at any speeds, no matter high frame or low frame, that's BS offered as a solace.Originally posted by Harrisoncool View PostGuys.. i am bit concerned right now... its been a known issue with my FZ25, i still have a feeler that my bike's front end is not straight and tilted to the right. Chennaites, perhaps you can help a fellow comrade in the search for a decent service center.
Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.
THE END

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Agree with you VJ. This bike never wobbled even at 120kmph. Did 1500km ride last month, bike was rock solid. I am sure its something to do with the changes service center made. Bike is 2 months and 5500km old. Done 2nd service couple of weeks ago. So its still in warranty. For unknown reason it feels like i am siting on a curved bike, its not visible when checked but it sure is. I am having a tough time convincing this guys that there is an issue. How do i make them check the frame and other major components for a bend? They keep saying its low pressure in the tyres.Originally posted by B7ACKTHORN View PostThe bike should not wobble post 65 KMPH, irrespective of the reasons given by the SVC guys. Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Does it wobble even with your hands gripping the handlebars? My bike has a similar wobble issue post 65 km/h, but can only be seen when I take my hands of the hands of the handlebar. Also, it disappears post 75-80 km/h. I had complained about this during my last service, but no action was taken. Since it doesn't distract me much, I didn't push them again. Will again take it up during the 1st paid service.Originally posted by Harrisoncool View PostAgree with you VJ. This bike never wobbled even at 120kmph. So far, I've tried 3 service centres, Paras (Mt road), Walters (tondiarpet), one in choolaimedu. All 3 have been average, except for Tondiarpet, who at least gives heed to the different complaints I give, and then resolves a few of them.
