watch the video and look at the sprocket. it's not 100% straight. but when they opened it at put in on glass table, it was 100% straight. unfortunately i couldn't take pictures at that time.

weird thing is this issue is on all fz25s they have in svc. along with r15v3.

Have you faced any problems due to this? It might actually be the bearing or the axle where the problem lies. On another note, are you facing handle wobble? Many people are, and you might have found the root to it.

haven't gone above 65kph yet, odo is only 120km something. haven't faced any issues yet(no wobble). and according to Yamaha service guy this is by design so that when we adjust chain tightness rear hub kinda adjust itself because front sprocket can't be adjusted (it doesn't have any horizontal play) to me it sounds bs, although they have already replaced rear sprocket for my satisfaction. but it still looks same.

apart from that, i really love the smoothness of this bike. my previous bike (xcd125) used to vibrate like hell in 50-60kph range. but this bike is butter smooth. and that torque is just mind blowing. headlight could have been better but it's still a tiny upgrade over previous bike.

for handle wobble, check swingarm bearing/bush and/or cone set bearing. as long as both wheel bearings are 100% ok, those are the only things which can cause handle wobble.

I feel rain water seeped inside reflector. Bike is one year old and in last year rain also I used to park in open but usually cover it. This time it was first heavy rainfall of season and I was not able to cover bike.

Hi does anyone know what error code 64 means ? It flashed briefly for me today while revving to max. At about 9000 odd rpm. Luckily saw it as at that speed just glanced at the console.

Hi guys, I am new to the thread here. I've completed around 16k kms on my FZ25 which i got on June 2017 and has been a smooth sail till now. I just got my bike from my fourth service (First paid service) and was surprised to see that the bill was 2721 which I feel is on the higher side. Is the service cost this high? Would like to know your opinion on the same.

                  injector cleaning
                  chain clean
                  chain lube
                  teflon
the above i feel are too pricy, especially the chain clean/lube - u could do it for 20 bucks at home or a local mechanic.
the teflon coating is a total scam, and injector cleaning imo not really required at 16k km.
well, that's the price you pay at an svc ..more so if you aren't aware of the maintenance/repairs that are really required.

I am planning on changing oil to either Shell advance AX7 semi synthetic or Shell advance Ultra fully synthetic oil. Do I need to go for the fully synthetic one or will the semi synthetic do?

Will be switching during the third service at around 9500 kms on the ODO.

Also if it is Fully synthetic shell, should the engine run for more kms before switching to fully synthetic?.

I don't feel the Yamalube oil is fully synthetic. Engine and gearbox seems to be getting rougher by the day with just 3500 kms from second service.

                      Hey Guys,
I am 5'3" tall and do you see FZ25 being comfortable in stop go traffic. Before someone asks...yes I do commute to Whitefield daily in Bangalore :-(
                      Thanks

Hi. My opinion is the bike is very comfortable in traffic. The pillion seat is set higher. Would suggest to try a test ride. Maybe getting on and off the bike might be a problem. It feels very well balanced and refined in its behavior. Doesn't throw surprises. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply. Found FZ25 really comfortable in test drive. But this test did not involve slow pace crawling. The seat height is very much comparable to Honda Dazzler from which I want to upgrade, but handle and footpeg position is different, hence the question.

You get used to the rear set foot pegs in a few hundred kms max. The clutch is light and because of the torque it's easy to crawl. Keep in mind, though if 80 percent of your travel is crawling, then the Dazzler will be better. I also upgraded from a commuter. I do get traffic but about only 20 percent is dead slow.

Thanks for the inputs. My commute is 60 Kms a day (spend about 2.5 hours). Crawl occasionally for 20-25 mins in total, but otherwise doing between 40-70 Kph. Due to this crawl I ruled out CBR250. Looks like FZ25 is not a bad option.

FZ 25 shines in that 35 to 75 kmph range. Once properly run in, feels like a Unicorn in that range. Plus extra power when you need it.
